I haven't married her because she tries to stop me from talking about football. Also because I personally feel that marriage is an outdated irrelevant institution (no offence intended to anyone who doesn't agree with this viewpoint) which is commercially exploited and pointless. If I wanted to demonstrate commitment I would get a mortgage.0 -

I watched the England game in the gym, nearly 2.5 hours on the bike and I am now so shattered I cannot move.
Don't you get bored? That's the worst thing about gyms for me.
My arms hurt from doing push-ups in the rain.
Personal trainer at the gym tomorrow to show me how to injure myself more.0 -

Have you started viewing houses then?0 -

Well I was watching the football - so no, but actually I find that I don't get bored at all, even with nothing to look at or any music to listen to. My mind usually goes complelely blank.
That said, I can happily stare out of a window watching it rain for hours without getting bored. It probably shows that I am simple.0 -

And a will i hope, and suitably organised next of kin agreement? That was the lincher for us, it was very difficult sometimes for dh not being married to me when i wanted him as my nok.
So, why don't you want a mortgage?:D. Why does she stop ypu talking about football? Would you feel happier with someone who liked football? Need it be a woman?
And more importantly how long before you feel reading about mushrooms and dogs is probably ok?0 -

I like rain. I find it the most erotic of weathers. I have mo idea what that says about me. Maybe I was Naamrah in a previous incarnation.0 -

No. I expect we will buy during the first half of 2013, as I think the economic situation is too uncertain to buy a house in london at the moment. Once we know whether Greece is going to quit the euro or not then i'll think about it seriously.0 -

Oooooooh, does she know?
Will you get solar panels?0 -

She is the beneficiary of my life insurance. I have a will, but she is not he beneficiary. I would only change that if we bought a house, and then only to leave the house to her.So, why don't you want a mortgage?:D. Why does she stop ypu talking about football? Cos of the reasons stated in the post to missk. The football thinks was just a joke. I don't want her to be interested in sport as she'd want to come and watch and say things like "what is happening now".And more importantly how long before you feel reading about mushrooms and dogs is probably ok?
I am always happy to discuss mushrooms and dogs, I just think the NP thread can handle any subject - if you're not interested in football you can just ignore it!0
