Prescription collection service

My surgery don't do repeat prescriptions now, it's all done by the Chemist next door. You register with them, then call when you need more stuff, they get the prescription from the GP's and you can then either collect or they will deliver. It usually takes about 4 or 5 days so you need to remember to order them before you run out !

I use Boots to do all the donkey work for me, but I drop the repeat form in store with what I need as most of my medications are "as needed" and not a set number per day.

My GP's online ordering isn't via a secure server so I won't use it (they don't even offer online appointment booking yet!) and Boots say if you order online with them don't expect it for 2 weeks- with as needed meds it's very hard to judge, and if i'm supposed to order for 2 weeks time even worse!

I'm with Boots, they pick up my repeat prescriptions and all I have to do is go in and collect it. ts been a a massive weight off my shoulders and time saving too used to have a habit of running out of meds but that hasn't happened since I signed up
