Girls perspective on Samsung Galaxy S3

Went into the shop today and was shown a dummy S3 in white. Looks really nice but I'm not really sure that it is the phone for me. I really wanted an iPhone and I know that Samsung are making good phones now.
I currently have an iPhone 4 and like the size and I'm on a £46pm tariff with Vodafone... one good thing will be that I can change the tariff down as I have too many minutes.
Would you recommend the S3 for a girl?

Why do you want to change the phone in the first place? If your minimum term expired, why not just to switch to a cheap sim-only tariff and to save a fortune?rachel_kisses wrote: »I really wanted an iPhone...

OMG:eek::mad::eek:Honesty is the best policy doesn't matter which web site
you are on!
if i had known then what i know now!
a bargain is only a bargain if you really need it!0 -
Ouch. You can get a iPhone 4 on O2 for £36 a month with unlimited minutes/texts/1GB data. £46 is mental!
Android will confuse you. Stick with your iPhone and get a microSIM from somewhere like giffgaff0 -
My wife switched from her iPhone to a Galaxy Note last week (big step for her as she has always had apple i.e. MacBook, iPod etc).
She wanted bigger screen as the iPhone's 3.5" is way too small. She loves the Android platform and finds it better than iOS. Never thought I would hear that.
No I feel substandard using my BB postage stamp size screen whilst she is looking at her 5.3" screen0 -

It's quite big, so may be difficult to lift with tiny girlish hands and weak girlish arms.
It's not available in pink.
In no way does it assist with washing, ironing, cooking, cleaning or any other girlish passtime.
So no, I wouldn't recommend the S3 for a girl.

Many years ago, I remember buying a car. I went for a test drive, and thru the drive the salesman went thru all the specs with me, we talked about fuel consumption and insurance costs.
As we got back to the showroom, he said to me "now, let's go and take a look at the colour charts, I know the colour is the most important thing for you ladies":eek:
He lost that sale ... I bought the same model from a different dealership, who didn't patronise a young woman who was running her own business to the level of success that she could afford to buy a smart new car.
For heavens sake .. it's a smartphone. It does the same things in the same way for male AND female users, all the people I know of both (all) genders use their phones in the same way. Why, Rachel, do you want to project the image of being a bimbo ??I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.

Go for a phone you like, not just because everyone else wants themDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

If you are techie enough for an iphone, you can handle a galaxy whether you're male, female, old or young.
Why do you expect that you need specific advice on it as a female? I am female and don't expect to be too stupid to work a phone available to the general public.0
