Advice to ignore

well, all this advice is boosting my resolve to ignore the letters, much appreciated
Strangely enough, that same day of the issue the local shop keeper was telling me how they now avoid central 6 as they were hit with a parking fine after parking for an hour and half in the 1 hour only parking area. Yes to to make it difficult they split the car park into restriction zones. I told them that I always avoid that area, as the other area has no time restrictions, and I'm sure it never used to. Well I know that it does now.
Is it worth contacting any of the shops I was shopping in to see if they can cancel the charge, TK Max and Boots. I guess as they are just tenants on central 6 land they can't do anything. Also Central 6 doesn't seem to advertise itself as a shopping complex in the way Westfield does, not even a basic website, so it doesn't need to worry about maintaining public relations...0 -
Bob... stop taking it seriously! If you lobby the shop to get them to cancel the charge, half the time it doesn't happen and then, as the Yokel says, you are sending out the message that you might pay it if they push you because you think it is real....
It's a FAKE, a SCAM, a TRY-ON. You can cancel it yourself by ignoring it. Honestly. I've done it over 80 times and never paid anyone a penny.
If you want to visit the shops, make it a complaint, tell them you will be shopping elsewhere in future since this is how they treat customers.
If enough people do it the parasites might get kicked out of the car park!0 -

No, it doesn't need cancelling because it is not a fine, not a real PCN! Stop bothering about it. This is nothing.
Stop wasting your time on this scam and just set aside a drawer or folder marked 'ignore, scam fake PCN rubbish' and just put each and every letter in it.
G24 are not some sort of special authority you know - they are just a PPC scamming people like all these companies, pretending to be issuing parking tickets when they are just impersonating them. G24 don't ever do Court - nothing happens except the letters. You can find a picture preview of the whole G24 letter chain in the second to top thread 'PPC letters & threats' along with a must-see Watchdog clip. If unsure how to find the top threads, the parking forum current threads list is always just one click away from any thread you are reading. See my signature.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

my head hurts from all the reading now!
Thanks for the pointers.
I guess I will sit back and see how their 'invoicing' scam progresses over the coming weeks then.0 -
If you want to take the initiative, put their invoice in an envelope after writing on it "Eff off you scamming barstewards, I am wise to you". Do not sign or put your name/ address on it. Address it to their Accounts Payments Department. Do not put a stamp on it so they will pay to receive it.
That will often cut the letter-chain short......:rotfl:0 -
Would it be wrong to send them some used toilet paper with a note saying 'you send me your sh*t, I'll send you mine'0

If you don't want the aggro of all the threatening letters write across the ticket in large felt tip pen - NOT WORTH THE PAPER IT IS WRITTEN ON, LOL, and then send it to their "payments" department.
I can confirm that this method works because I have used it successfully myself
