Yes, you are right, dt3887 if it was showing as paid on her end it would on mine too, surely? Anyway the live help guy would have been able to see if her end was showing "paid" and mine not. He simply said the item has not been paid for and advised me to file a non-paying bidder dispute. The fact that she went straight in with "are you suggesting I have lied because that is what it's sounding like?" etc., when she can be bothered to reply and I'd only ever been nice, really bugged me. What would I have to gain from that? Trying to make her pay again for goodness sake?

and again as i said above, if it had been paid, to the right address or not, it would STILL show as item paid for on ebay, and ebay would also see it as paid.

Actually this isn't quite true. There is a known long term glitch that shows some payments as unpaid when they are paid.

Aside of this OP has checked and can now rule out the incorrect email scenario.

If the buyer is unable to give you a Paypal transaction ID, then I would open a NPB.

It might be worth asking whether she paid by phone. I had two NPBs recently who told me they thought they'd paid by phone, but it hadn't gone through. I don't know whether it was true or not, but it maybe that there's a glitch somehow.

I buy on ebay regularly but still a couple of times I've not completed payment properly. When you've logged into paypal and authorised payment, it says thank you for your payment, even though you have to click back onto ebay to complete.

I see the 'thank you for payment' and get carried away and just close the window. Luckily I've realised straight away or after a few minutes when the confirmation email hasn't come through :o

Your buyer could have made the same mistake and so think she's paid. I'd ask her for transaction ID and if she can't provide it or doesn't admit to making a mistake, then I'd raise a NPD.

Is it possible she paid for several things at once but you have your account set so that you have to be paid individually (can't think what eBay call it)? I've paid for a group of items before and one has been left out as the seller set it that way.

ETA It's under 'My Account'. 'Site Preferences', 'Selling Preferences' and then 'Include my items when buyers pay all their sellers at once using PayPal'.

Eh? I often don't click back to eBay. In fact I am not sure that I ever have, ever.
