We loved Yarmouth when the kids were little.
We went for a week but took a frozen joint (to thaw for midweek roast) frozen mice for a bolly and frozen sausages, a big pack of bacon and eggs for brecky.
Always had a box of tinned stuff and don't forget t.towels/washing up stuff/spare loo/kitchen roll.
Back then we used to budget £25 for the day!!
Lunch was a sarnie in the caravan and maybe a half in the bar at lunchtime. (the rest for the evening)
Don't bother eating out, very expensive.
Having said that, I seem to remember someone saying that there is a big supermarket near the railway station that does a very good breakfast.
Get the free bus to the seafront and enjoy, the beach is fantastic.
(oh and save your 2p coins for the amusements)

  • I've got a caravan on California cliffs so I can give you a few pointers. In scratby (where the site is) there is a donkey sanctuary and a garden centre which has a small pets corner area at the back. There are amusements just outside the site with 2p machines in. Some days there is a second hand book shop open opposite the site with very cheap books.

The drinks in the 2 bars on the site are extortionate prices. If you go to any of the other bars on the other 3 holiday sites the drinks are much cheaper.

As far as carvers go the best one around there is in the next town caister in a pub called the castle. All you can eat car very for £6. You can walk to it along the coast path in about 30 minutes or drive or get the 1a bus which stops right outside.

You will love Cali cliffs. There is a really lovely holiday feel to it.
