Claims Handler instead of insurance company?

Hi
Any one used a good claims handler?
I do not want to go through my car insurance to deal with the the claim as I will lose my NCD and pay £500 excess or I will have to use there sister company Albany Assistance and I have read horror stories about them!
I want a company that will deal direct with the third part insurance company.
This is all because my car was hit whilst parked so I am at no fault and don't want my insurance effected because of it
Thanks

You can DIY (contact the third party insurer and ask if they have an innocent third party claims department).
Otherwise use your own solicitor or a claims handler - a local bodyshop should be able to recommend you.
You cannot avoid affecting your insurance though, as even though they won't be involved in a claim you still need to inform them (now) of the incident.
If you approach other insurers for quotes at renewal, they too must be informed.0 -
I have told my insurance and I will declare it when I need to. I just want to try and protect my NCD and not have to pay the £500 excess as we don't have the moneyCrazy unorganised mum in need of help!

I think from most policy's your insurers state you need to inform them ASAP, most including mine state you must declare all incidents within 48hrs of the incident. you may want to look at your policy booklet.
also if you just tell your insurer that you are only informing them of the incident that should save you paying the excess.Total Debt in June 2013: Barclaycard 0% until Nov 2014: £1550

Correct.....But the OP already has done so and you are the one who altered the quote from the Op (#3) by putting this in bold: "I will declare it when I need to"!
What's all that about?0 -
If you are claiming from a third party and you are not at fault, your
NCD is not affected at all.
Deal directly with the third party yourself. You do not need a claims handler. They are leeches and will bump up the claim with their charges. One of the reasons why everybody's insurance is now expensive.
Ive been through it twice and it is very painless. (and quick)
couple of weeks topsmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Bit harsh.
Not everyone feels confident in taking on a third party or their insurer (or knows how to!)
And not everyone is aware of their rights, or how to go about getting a replacement car whilst theirs is off the road, which expenses can be claimed etc etc.
(And why should innocent victims have the hassle of diy claiming when they have done nothing wrong)
And of course, some third party insurers won't play ball!0 -

It's ok. I should have put that I have told the insurance company and I will declare it when renewing or comparing on-line for a quote ext
I am waiting for the insurance details and once I have then I am going to tell the guilty party that I am claiming through their insurance to see if they will settle before hand if not I will ring the company and see how helpfully they are
I am not looking to make anything out of this I just want to get a car in the same condition without being out of pocketCrazy unorganised mum in need of help!

sorry Q, didnt mean it to sound harsh, I think it was on the back of an earlier post of mine, spent ages helping a young lady and ber bf on a no fault, update this morning saying they have gone with a claims management co. Someone backed into their bike and they were no where near it. No contest. I explained it all so I think I was a bit frustrated. Sorry to OP too, no offence intended.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
