Once in a while you get completely done over shopping online -this is it. Paid a lot of money for a custom made dress - what arrived a month later (with express delivery) is going straight to the charity shop where someone might buy it, if they sell it for a pound as something to wear to a fancy dress horror show. I cannot begin to describe how poor quality this is. Please don't get sucked in.0

I really wouldn't recommend using this company for anything!
I ordered 2 very expensive looking table lamps which took 25 days to arrive. When i opened the box, there were 2 cheap plastic lamps that looked like they were worth £5 each. I was gobsmacked and so went back to their website and guess what ... they've changed the photo to these cheap tacky lamps.
I went through the whole website hoping it was a mistake looking for the original lamps that I expected to receive but they've gone. They obviously know what they're doing. This is a fraudulent company that is trying to rip people off wherever possible.
Ive asked for a full refund and Ive also spoken to my credit card company who are going to dispute the charge.
If the lamp photo hadn't changed then id have been quite happy to accept it was human error and would have swapped them over but this is a blatant rip off attempt and so I'll never use them again.
Just wished id checked them out a bit more before purchasing.0 -
Not purchased anything here!0

I bought my wedding favours from them and was lucky enough to avoid customs charges and everything was perfect. It did take about a month for them to arrive but I was expecting that.0

Ordered some cables from LITB in July. Promised 14 day delivery which was OK as I needed them for a trip at the end of August so assumed there was plenty of time.
Took my money on credit card in July............STILL NO CABLES and been told could be another 15-20 working days.
Will NEVER use this company again0 -
Took weeks to deliver my order - with no advice as to when the order was dispatched nor any idea of a delivery date. When my order arrived, I had to pay an extra £27 delivery charge (even though I'd already paid a shipping fee when I originally ordered). When I went back to the company to ask about this & obtain a refund for the extra charge, they said it was for 'taxes' which they were unable to estimate in advance. I have paid well over what I was expecting to pay and the quality of the items was lower than expected. Take care with ordering from this company!0

The £27 wasn't an extra delivery charge, it was for VAT and possibly import duty and a handling and processing fee for the delivery company that cleared the item through customs for you.
LITB are based in China so anything valued at over £15 purchased from them and imported into the EU is liable for VAT and paying this is your responsibility and nothing to do with the seller.
They do mention this on their website.
Products shipped from China
In some cases, there will be VAT (Value Added Tax), other taxes, customs duties and/or fees levied by your destination country. These additional charges for taxes or customs clearance charges are the responsibility of the recipient. Unfortunately, we cannot estimate what the charges may be since customs and taxation policies vary widely from country to country. For further details, please contact your destination local customs office or visit their official website. In some cases, customs clearance procedures are required; under these circumstances, delays may occur, which will affect our original delivery estimation time.0 -
Ordered some leads from Light in The Box in August with promise of delivery in 3 to 5 working days.
Then told goods were shipped on 31st August and would arrive in 15-20 days
Nearly 2 months later and my order STILL says it's been shipped but STILL no sign of goods.
Won't be using them again:(0 -

Are you sure 3 - 5 days, from China, could it be 3 - 5 weeks, bear in mind, the VAT you will be paying the courier delivering to you.0 -

5 days is do-able, I places 19 orders with Aliexpress on Sunday the 4th of October, 7 of those arrived on the 9th, all the rest arrived the following week.WWSD(what would Scooby Doo)0
