Yes he would. That's how it works!! Your helpful lady solicitor will have paid for your lead from your insurer.

    (How have I insulted you????)

It is not how the system worked for me, I got a very helpful solicitor who did not demand a percentage of any settlement a la Digby Brown. My helpful lady solicitor's legal advice was included in my policy as part of their service paid for by our premiums. :p

Why do you have to be so sarcastic?

Our premiums do pay for the solicitors ultimately! But they pay out £800+ a time to be given leads they can cash in on!

(You previously accuse me of insulting you, and now of sarcasm - but where?)

Forget Digby Brown's way of working - they are trying to get paid twice!!

Your solicitor will have passed her fee for your help on to the third party!

I consider your comments toward me are insulting, sarcastic and peppered with needless exclamation marks.

You are making assumptions which are not true.
    Forget Digby Brown ...
IMHO ambulance chasers do provide a service, but I am not going to debate that either.

Unless you can say how/where I have been "insulting" or "sarcastic" to you, I cannot really begin to put matters right!!!!

You could avoid talking down to other posters.
You could avoid needless exclamation marks.

if the third party insurer is Admiral then they can deal directly with your injury claim - no need for solicitors and you will usually receive a payment within a few weeks.
it is also generally quicker to deal with the third party insurer for your total loss settlement - your own insurer will need your log book etc before they pay out, they will also try to give you near to bottom book with little room for negotiation - a third party insurer will be more happy to give you a better offer as they will be cutting out any accident management fees and will pay less in hire costs.

    good luck

It's no good being paid out for your injuries within a few weeks, if you don't know how long they'll take to settle.

Get a grip, Quentin has been really helpful here but you've turned this into a thread about you. Idiot.
