T-mobile text charge quadrupled.

I have used pay as u go for some years and choose Tmobile with texts costing 3p. I am on basic pension and use mobile solely for texting and receiving calls. (I use landline free calls after 7pm as part of broadband package with Talktalk.)
T-mobile has decided to put me on a p.a.y.go everyday plan with texts now costing 12p, This plan allows me to connect to internet which I don't want or need. Various emails have passed between company and myself to no avail and company has not replied to further emails for 2 days now. Why is old package no longer available.?

They have refreshed their tariffs recently this month - so presumably moving people onto the new tariffs. 10p - 12p per text is pretty average. You can still get cheaper text packages by moving to another network provider.

your best bet is to top up ten pounds per month and you will get unlimilted texts for the following month

You just need to call 146 and go through the options to get it changed, but its saved me loads
