Payperdrop

Hi,

My 1st post as you can tell!

Was looking at this company to deliver a parcel for me.

One of the conditions i wasn't too sure about.

1 collection attempt, 1 delivery attempt, only.
Further collection/delivery attempts will result in additional charges.

I understand that they will only give 1 attempt to collect it from me but 1 delivery attempt i'm not sure about.

Does that mean they will attempt to deliver once then send it back to me or does it mean that they will attempt to deliver it once then the reciever has to pick it up from their local depot?

Sorry if that sounds a little stupid!

It means they will charge you for every delivery & charge you if they cannot deliver & have to send it back to you, that is why its cheap

We use Selective 2007 on eBay who have contracts with DHL / Parceline

    £4.25 on eBay - http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Selective2007

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Is that £4.25 including Northern Ireland?

    Cheers.

    On eBay:

    This Services offers:

2-3 Day Delivery Within the UK mainland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Some Parts of Scotland.

I known they state British Mainland on their website
& charge extra for Postcodes PH19 - 44, PH49 - 50, IV, KW, PA20 - 88, ZE, KA27 & KA 28, HS & Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and the Isles of Scilly but do not state anything about NI
  • Payperdrop told me on the phone on Wednesday that they will attempt delivery 3 times, all in the same price - they haven't updated the website info, maybe it's a secret?!.....

I used them and DHL failed to pick up the parcel when they were supposed to... then picked up next day from my work and sent another collection chap over 5 days later... I figure I'll give them one more chance or I'll try the company above next time I need something delivering over a few kg as frankly Royal mail won't even carry it...

Well i tried Selective and i won't be trying them again!

Bought a parcel service from their ebay page on Sunday and paid straight away.

    Booked the collection for today.

They tried picking the parcel up yesterday to which i told them the parcel wasn't ready and that i booked the collection for Tuesday(today).

I went back to Selectives website and rebooked the collection for today. I also entered rebook into the special instructions box.

It was getting on to half 4 and i was getting worried that this parcel wasn't getting collected.

I phoned Selectives number to make sure my parcel was getting collected today. The person who answered asked whether i rebooked it for today to which i said yes and he replied that yes it would be getting collected today.

Well its 6:15 now and i don't think they will be collecting now!

Looks like i'll have to bite the bullet and use Royal Mail.

At least that way i don't have to mither someone to wait in for collection and i won't have an unhappy customer!

Now i know why it was cheap!

You should have book it late on Monday (B4 11pm) for a Tuesday collection as they're so busy sometimes I guess they don't look at the required collection date

Just booked two collections with Payperdrop.

5.99 for next day uk excluding Northern Ireland and 10.99 for Northern Ireland next day.

Recieved a confirmation email which you don't get with Selective.

The Northern Ireland delivery was 6 quid more than Selective but hopefully more efficient for me!

I used Selective, had a collection booked for Monday, got to 16:15, I had to give them a ring, 16:45 by the time I spoke to someone, who wasn't overly friendly, then had to phone parceline who said the driver was still scheduled to collect, they didn't turn up.

Tuesday came, it got to 11:00 and I thought, I best check with parceline to see if the driver was going to come out today, they weren't so had to go through the booking with them, luckily not long after the driver came out to collect the parcel, still it did go next day in the end, even though 2 -3 day was paid for.

I had used Parcel2Go previously several times and have to say I've never had any problems (though I know some have), always paid for 2 - 3 day service, yet the item has always gone next day.

The problem we have is people don't want to pay for a decent delivery service, I've had people complain about the cost of delivery, when I've simply charged them the rate I am being charged!
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
