    Afternoon All

Another hot day here, had to buy a new strimmer so have strimmed all the bits that needed doing and also cut the grass where the daffs were, couldn't do it all yesterday as I had to wait for the bins to be emptied today.

Monnogran - have a lovely holiday and have some 'me' time, you do so much for others you deserve it.

Off to a village hall meeting tonight so a quick tea of salmon and salad, will leave DDs in the fridge - she's going to play hockey after work.

Hope you are all well, take care. XX

Evening all, well I got all my jobs done and by lunchtime my friend and I sat down and enjoyed our lunch then had a bit of a natter ,she had to go a bit earlier as she was cat-feeding for her Dd who is away and worries if the cat gets too hot in the warm weather.Picked the boys up from school and came back to my house so I could get my second load of washing in and just in time as the heavens opened.Golly it was humid and sticky but once the rain came down it cooled things down a wee bit.Took the boys back to their house and minced up yesterdays joint for DD to use in a sheps pie.Played with the boys until their Dad came home then got home around 7.00ish.had a banana sandwich and an orange for a light supper as i had eaten quite a substatial lunch and felt just too hot to want to cook anything .Just off to bed for a read now on my Kindle.Hopefully the rain will give us a cooler nights sleep and I'll be up and about tomorrow .Ironing to do first thing, then maybe sort out the pots on my patio as they seem to be full of weeds at the moment .DGS Ben has an exam tomorrow morning so I expect he will pop in for a sandwich on his way home afterwards . I shall show him what needs doing with the strimmer at the bottom of the garden I think I'll have to get some thick gardening bags as the bottom half is like a jungle. My car came up beautifully this morning Where I take it, the young eastern european lads really graft when their cleaning a car no scrimping on the washing or polishing I always bung them a couple of quid extra because they really do work very hard to make a good job of it .They speak very little english but are always unfailingly polite and give you a big smile and the universal 'thumbs up' when its done.I know they only get the bare minimum wage but they do put a lot of elbow grease into their work. They sometimes put our local lads to shame as they are there from around 7.00 a.m. until gone 7 at night all weathers as well.
Right off I go to put my feet up and have a read for half and hour or so.Hope everyone has had a good day
Good Night God Bless all here
