Morning all,
jackieo sounds like a lovely start to the [busy] day
happy birthday to dd2 pooky
I woke up to find someone has removed all the toilet rolls from the toilet... I am guessing this is one of the girls having a selfish dig at someone but we have always shared all household costs so I don't know why she's done it. It's the sort of petty thing the girls do, like putting away only the exact pieces of cutlery they've used and leaving the rest spread over the kitchen counter even though we share a big set of cutlery and keep it in the same place. I think it's more effort to do that :rotfl:
Anyway, I have a viva on my dissertation this morning, not really stressing about it as I know it as well as I can. Then it's pack pack pack! Think I'll have to go buy some more vacuum bags, always never enough even though I buy more every year. If it stays dry today it will be a good opportunity to wash all my winter clothes and spare sheets before packing them away :jLiving cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

Morning HH and all,
I'm so glad its Monday as maybe i can have a rest! Hubby back at work and son off to school for revision class.
Is it just my family but do i seem to do more washing in the warm weather? I only got to the bottom of my laundry basket on Saturday and its full again.
Normal day of the usual for me except i have a doctors appointment at 5 and i need to go to the post office too.
I must admit, i spent most of the weekend asleep. It was too hot to do anything and i pity those who have to work out in it. The dogs are really wilting in the heat and i am trying my best to keep chinny cool as they can die in temperatures in excess of 30 degrees and its 27 degrees now!
Sending you all hugs, and thinking of all of you who are wilting in the heat. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Morning all,
Looks like a hot one againone load on the line, and another in the wm.
Very busy day today, got to take dd for an interview at 11, then if we are back in time go and see dad over lunch and help feed him.
Housework to do from top to bottom, dinner to prep, online shop to do, ebay parcels to pack, and some office work, think I will leave walking the dog till later on this evening, then take her and the kites to the beach, it will be cooler and less crowded by then.
Dinner is a joint of pork, I was going to do a roast, but its too hot, so may do it with salads instead.
Weigh in today, I feel like I have lost some weight, so fingers crossed !!!
Pooks Happy Birthday to DD xx and good luck to DH
Monnagran, have a fabby holibobs xx

Lovely morning here and two dds are off to work or sixth form with a home made chciken and chorizo salad for lunch.
Still have some baked salmon and peppers in a parcel from yesterday so might add salad veg, cold meat or boiled egg to it for lunch for me DH and another dd. Got YS egg noodles yesterday so will make these with strips of chicken, peppers, mushroom etc and stir fry sauce for tonight with home made apple pie and ice cream.
JackieO
Just reading half your plans for today had me feeling tired in sympathy. You are a human dynamo!
DH looking wistfully at neighbour's petrol mower and saying how much easier it would make his gardening so going to have a browse online and look at prices, offers or deals.

Afternoon all
Dinner last night was a success, and it was lovely to see my brother.
I'm stuck in the officebut will hopefully escape for a bit later this afternoon.
Today was meant to be my day off but I had too much to sort out cos I now have a hospital appointment for vertigo treatment tomorrow morning, which has completely thrown things cos I'm meant to be taking the work kids away for 3 nights tomorrow! The hospital letter states I may not be able to drive after the treatments . It's been a logistical nightmare trying to arrange cover, but think we have it sorted now. Hoping that I'll be ok though and can drive no problems. Fingers crossed.
I have college tonight for 3 hours, not really feeling it as the weather is so nice! But will go. Been looking at new bikes so may call in Halfords before college. And after college I'm meeting a friend for a drink
OS wise - dishes to wash, packed lunch made,
Have a good day all

For old style stuff - I am on my third load of washing and have been watering the gardens. The dwarf sunflowers were looking a bit limp but have perked up.
I am trying to follow the flylady thread. With all the clearing of 'dumping grounds' in the corners of my large kitchen, the instruction of 'if you have fifteen minutes sweep and mop the floor' has led to three bin bags of rubbish and I am about to start clearing out the second lot of cupboards to make room to put stuff away properly. I suspect I will not be getting much further than mopping the floor today lol.
OH will not be home for the evening meal. It is therefore looking like tinned salmon with cold tinned potatoes and any salad still fit. OH doesn't really like salmon, but darling father and little bear love it.
There is also the begging issue. Evil cat begs for food from darling father every tea time. She sort of queues at him, very insistently. Darling father always gives in and it drives OH nuts. So salmon + evil cat + darling father - OH means a less stressful tea time.
