Cheapest Diesel In France - Calais?

I returned from the Tarn region in south west France this morning.
Overall, supermarkets are a good safe bet but I found the cheapest and the dearest prices at Total stations.
A station not far north of Toulouse was 1.55 euro per litre yet the Total in Boulogne (between the D940 and the A16) was only €1 31.5. I'd been commenting on the large price differential then on the way back home through Norfolk, I saw diesel in kings Lynn (Morrisons) at £1. 38.9 and at an independent in Outwell at £1. 63.9!
Outrageous pricing in both countries!0 -
does anybody know if the Auchan Calais petrol station pumps 24h accept UK Devit cards? Or it has to be paid by Credit card
Thanks a lot0 -

I am pretty sure they do, but we ALWAYS use the credit card abroad, because the Nationwide debit card adds an arrangement fee and commission in addition to the cost price, whereas the credit card does a straight exchange - usually at a good rate - it was 1.18 - 1.19 a couple of weeks ago.
We usually go to Carrefour at the Centre Universitaire or Cite Europe nowadays.0 -
To check the latest prices before travelling to France go to the prix-carburants gouv.fr web site (sorry I am not allowed to pasted links) and then select the relevant fuel and department.
Previous posts have probably translated this already bu just in case:-
Caburant = Fuel
San Plomb (SP) = Unleaded
Gazole = Diesel
GPL = LPG0 -

Seems to be pretty similar to this site already posted earlier...

I hope you don't use more fuel looking for a place to fill up than you might otherwise.
We always find that Petrol stations close to Toulouse airport are near impossible to find when filling up a hire car to return with a full tank.It's your money. Except if it's the governments.0
