For some phones, but not for all, it does say "3G Network - SIM 1 only".

I have the samsung galaxy Y duos - see below. The dual sim functionality (the primary reason why I bought it) works quite well. I also like the fact that it has a Wifi hotspot. So, that I can share it's internet connection with my other devices. Screen/memory is a little small, however I bought it ONLY for it's dual sim functionaliity. For surfing, etc, I have other phones for that.

thanks does this allow both SIMS to be used at the same time or do you have to switch to use SIM 1, SIM 2 etc

"dual stand-by" ahhh so thats when you can use 2 SIMS at the same time without having to fiddle with the settings etc, kool got it!!
