Moneybookers prepaid card with easyjet

Hey,

I have been unable to use my moneybookers prepaid card with easyjet to book tickets. It simply refuses to accept it as a debit mastercard.

I called moneybookers who say there is no issue with the account/card. Easyjet call centre could not use the card also and I ended up having to book with a credit card.

Has anyone else had this problem and how did you solve it?

Thanks for your time :)

Pretend it's a credit card not a debit card and I think it will go through but you'll have to pay the credit card charges. I guess the extra charges the retailer pays is one way they make their money on the card.

This is a what the mean by a Mastercard Debit card I would think

    From the Moneybookers website

"Unlike debit cards, a prepaid card is not associated with a bank account but with a virtual account such as the Moneybookers Digital Wallet"

:( I got the card to avoid the credit card fees. I guess now have to look for something else.

Any ideas for such a card in Europe? I had the entropay card but they charge a loading fees whereas moneybookers was free.

Can't you just open a bank account?

I have a bank account but none of the banks here give a prepaid mastercard. If you know of any, please let me know.

    Thank you

You don't need a pre-paid mastercard, easyjet don't charge for debit cards full stop.

:) Hehe, I wish my bank gave me a debit card. I only have maestro. Ah well, I guess back to paying huge fees to Easyjet :(

Also, checked online and found that only UK maestro debit cards work. European ones will not :(

Oh you're not from the UK? I guess bank accounts aren't free then and you can't get another one?
