Hi Allan
Yes, we are on electoral role and have lived in this house for 6 years. Will probably give them a quick call tomorrow to discuss and see if they can do the checks on line.
Thanks for the reply.0 -
It does say they will return all originals but I would not trust the post office with a passport or driving license - imagine the problems it will cause if they go missing. I only had to send a payslip and I sent an original as I could not be bothered getting it certified. No great loss if I don't get it back.
I noticed you could get the docs certified by a teacher - so that should be easy enough if you've any kids at school?0 -

Daft question but does it say online that you need to send in ID? The checklist that you print off makes it look like you would have to include ID but you only need to if explicitly told so.0 -
Hi, All I had to send was 1 payslip and no other ID at all.0

Just a copy of a payslip for me too...0

They are quick of the mark. I sent payslip on Monday evening and it's now marked as satisfied online and they have made a formal mortgage offer. I guess things will slow down now as they will be stuck waiting for the redemption statement from my building society.0

Mine took a week from the request being sent, to being shown as received by ING. All depends on how quickly the BS / bank responds! (Coventry BS were quick!)
Hi Jeannine, out of interest, did Conventry BS contact you and try to offer any sort of deal to stay with them? I did not approach my BS before deciding to jump ship as I know from past experience that their deals are pants.0 -
Hi Lee, my capped rate deal with the Coventry ends on 31st March and I have received no communication from them at all! Before I decided to go with ING, I did phone Coventry to see if they could offer me some fantastic deal as a loyal customer of four years, but the only deals available were those shown on their website (which were not very competitive). So that really made my mind up....!0
