Afternoon all,
Washing out and in dry...no ironing here...am bit upset that I now have nothing to wash...in this weather!!
Welcome to newbies...nice place this.
DGS2 improving by the day, not going to see him to-day, going to do a quick tidy up in their apartment as nobody has really been there since wednesday morning, might go for a swim too as pool is near theirs.
Think that we are having burgers for dinner, although OH went and got rashers, sausage and liver which we had about 11, so not sure anyone will be hungry enough to eat in the heat, have to cook mince as it has come out of freezer.
Mossy is delighted to have the company of Bran, DGS' little yorkie, he has been very lonely for last 3 weeks...no news of Kerry, so am now just hoping that it was very quick for her.
All baskets and boxes to be watered, might leave it until evening as don't think its the best to water in strong sunshine. Took in some purple sprouting broccoli yesterday and think that there might be some bok choi ready to eat, even it its small it tends to 'bolt' very quickly.
Hope that the holidaymakers enjoy their break.
Spoke to DD3 an hour ago....she and a friend were out for breakfast...not sure what and paid $60...think that prices in Oz have escalated since my last visit, so may have to sell a kidney, arm or leg when I come back to pay CC bill!
Everybody enjoy your BBQs and take care of your skin, very little worse than sunburn in my opinion, never mind the delayed problems.
Have a lovely weekend

My friend stayed over last night so we hit the shops for an hour this morning with another friend, then I left them to go to get my haircut. And have been sunbathing in the garden all afternoon since getting backJust come in to top up my water glass and say hello.
I'm out for dinner tonight to celebrate the end of unithere are 8 of us going out. We are going to a mediterranean restaurant which is BYOB  I already have my wine chilling in the fridge!
OS wise - 2 x WM, dishes washed, recycling sorted. Also got a free Graze box in post today. It's a snack delivery service, so got things like nuts and dried fruit.

Hi.
Yes, I'm still here, don't actually go off on my hols till Tuesday. Strange to think that LW is only a few miles away at the moment.
Had a shock this morning, we'd booked our train tickets in advance like good OSers and checking them over this morning for precise timings discovered that they had put the wrong date on the return tickets.
Cue a lightning dash to the station. One chap sucked his teeth and said it would cost us £40 to get the date changed, the other whispered that it would be cheaper to just buy new tickets for the return journey - which we did. As we'd got the originals for only £10 return between Portsmouth and Gatwick it only cost us another £5 each. RESULT! :j:j:j:j:j
Beautiful day again. No washing left to do so have hung out the Rev's heavy floor length black cloak to have a freshen up in the sun.
Stuff for my holiday is spread all over my bedroom floor, most of it clean but unironed. the pots out side are full of weeds and that was something else I was going to do today and I weakened and bought 6 runner bean plants this morning. Determined to have at least some HG veg. Then I have to make enough tiramisu and lemon sponge pudding for 30 tonight as am going to church and out to lunch tomorrow so won't have a chance to do it then.
Will I be ready by Tuesday? Unlikely, but I'll get there anyway. I've done the most important things like load up my Kindle and MP3 player.;);)
Love to all. xI believe that friends are quiet angels

Hello all! Hope everyone enjoyed the sunshine today
I got all my fruit n veg today in the market, and split the deals with my mum so cheaper for both of usAlso whilst a little pricey got my joint supplements on offer in H&B, worked out half price and will last the next 4 months:)
Did the recycling and cleaned the flat!
Also following a conversation with colleague over how much I spend on laundry a month, took advantage of hot weather and actually hand-washed all my uniforms earlier! They are on the airer over the bath...hoping they come up well! If they do would save me around £15-20 a month! :-DI love food, hate waste and have a penchant for sparkly things ::D

Good Evening chums well I had a great day today and probably overdid it a bit as we walked for about 2 and half hours all around St Katherines Docks, London and Wapping docks and ended up in Limehouse where we all fell into the pub for some much needed refreshments.Great pub too over five hundred years old ( I felt a bit like that myself:):))Got home eventually around 6.00.Had a couple of sausages and some LO potato from last night and an orange and was too tired to eat anymore. I started to watch the eurovision but gave up when Albania's squawking cat came on
very weird singer
I thought I'd have an early night as my dogs were barking a bit.Got into bed and immediately got dreadful cramp in my shins, hence the reason I'm online as I thought moving about a bit might make it go off. I'm my own worse enemy really I tend to not give in when my joints say 'enough' then suffer for it later .Comes of being a stubborn old trout I think.
EldestDD wants to come for coffee in the morning and youngest DD wants me to make a pack-up cool bag for us to have a run down to the coast for a bit of cool weather. So I shall have to hope that eldest will arrive first thing then when Mt Ts is open I can nip across and get a couple of bits to make up a small picnic.Youngest has been grafting hard all the week and hasn't seen the sun and wants to sit by the sea and have a paddle with the boys.Mind if my foot and shin cramps hang on I won't be going anywhere :)Plus I have on Monday apart from doing the school run, I have knitting club,my friend coming to lunch I have to put my car through the wash and pick up a prescription all before 10.30when she arrives from Dartford .My feet don't stop at times and I wonder how come I get so much cramp in my muscles its not from sitting around thats for sure I was hanging washing out at 5.30 this morning. If thecramps would just ease off a bit I could go back to bed and get some sleep.Blooming hot tonight as well I think I'll go and get a glass of cold water that may rehydrate me a bit.Oh well having got that of my chest i am off for a long cold drink
Keep cool everyone
