Happy saturday everyone...enjoy your walk JackieO.it sounds very interesting.

Nice to hear all the talk of bbq's ..hope you are all enjoying the good weather......I spoke to my parents in the uk yesterday and mum sounded a bit wilted from the heat.....

It was my dads birthday yesterday and I was looking for something a bit different to order on line for him and went with a cheese package from " The House of Cheese".......can definatly recommend them now..great communication and service and dad was thrilled with the little parcel that arrived as ordered on his b;day:)........

Tonight is the start of "Shavout" holiday here....not a well known holiday outside of Israel I think, has bible and harvest connections and is a holiday when it is traditional to eat dairy...yum! so non stop quiches and cheese cakes amoungst many other things..... tonight there will be a communual celebration in our community with everyone bringing a dish or two for a large meal.....Imy friends and I are in charge of making individual pizzas so we have roped in husbands and children to help us run 4 small pizza ovens and we will form a production line with the 16 kilos of dough that are being prepared as i type!....

ds is home from the army with gf after not being home for 21 days and dd2 is home as well so thats lovely..she has had a tough week after breaking up with her bf of more then 2 years.....even tho she initiated it she has been very upset as he took it so badly......an awkward week with them taking it in turns to stay in their apartment while the other camped out with friends...at least they are talking now but it will still be hard dividing up their stuff and tough for dd2 to find a small place that she can afford......

well I seem to have rambled on ......

    Have a good day everyone

Good Morning everyone, I hope you dont mind me joining in on the daily thread.
I have two bad legs so dont get around too well but I try to do as much as I can.
Between OH and I we have stripped the bed and remade it.
Washing machine is on with second load, first one is on the line drying
    BM on,
We are having chicken and salad for tea with leftover quiche from last night for lunch
Just a quick tidy up and we are done for the day then going to sit in the garden for awhile.
Then later put some more things on ebay to get rid of.
Hope everyone has a lovely day

    Morning all,

what a beautiful morning! Already filled the rotary line with hubbys work clothes and watered the plants. I'm waiting for my new fireplace and gas fire to be delivered. I'm not sure what time we arranged but i know it was in the morning sometime. It is being fitted on Tuesday.

Was hot in bed last night so at 2am the air con was switched on.... Bliss!! Usually i am cool enough with the blinds closed and the windows open when i am sleeping alone but with 2 of us sharing the bed it was a bit too warm.

Need to go grocery shopping sometime today. I didnt quite make it out of the door yesterday.

Hubby is in a grumpy mood despite saying he's not. I think its going to be a long weekend.:(

JackieO your walk sounds lovely. Hope you enjoy it.

    Dee2012. Welcome to the thread.

Hugs to all and have a super Saturday!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Bargainbird - we still have bees in the chimney who are lapping up darling father's handiwork in the garden. They are also enjoying the flowers on the rosemary. At the end of March, when it became very hot and dry, I noticed that they were really congregating on a damp mat, to get a drink. There seemed to be honestly hundreds of them. So now when it is dry I leave a damp sponge out for them to have a drink. The local cats have a chipped pyrex dish that I had put outside to be taken to the glass recycling and had filled with rainwater. The cats were always drinking out of it.

I've been desperate for a multifuel stove. Darling father has two newspapers per day, so that over the year could certainly heat our living room But because we have bees in the chimney and the said chimney is also impossibly high, we can't have the stove.

Just bought little bear his shoes. We seem to have leaked money this month. I bought myself a nightie yesterday, so I now have two respectable nighties, which are vital as little bear drags me out of bed. Then there were the shirts for OH - he finally has short sleeved shirts that fit. There was the visit from the vet for evil cat, and money on the car, etc etc etc.

Tomorrow more money goes out as little bear is meeting his girlfriend at softplay. So that is £5 to go in, plus drinks etc. Mind you, they haven't seen each other since Easter.

Off to try housewifery on the living room

    Morning guys (just!).

JackieO your walk sounds great, really interesting. And you've got a lovely day for a stroll too.

Essexgirl - hope you feel better soon. Are you sure it is a cold? Only all through my childhood I would get "summer colds" then when I got older realised I in fact had hayfever!

I'm another one missing Eurovision tonight :(. BF wants to watch the football and I'm allowing him, since I made him watch days of Britain's Got Talent I thought it was only fair. A shame to miss it but it's true it isn't the same without Terry Wogan.

Well today I have to pop up to the high street and get a few bits, when that is done my favourite pub has Pimms so I think I shal have to have one! Tomorrow we are going to go to Southend Air Show, it's free and we will take lunch so very MSE, but I am HAVING an ice cream!

Ever so jealous of you all having BBQs. Well I'm still in my pyjamas so best get on, there's bedlinen in the machine I've washed so best get that out and put out in this cracking drying weather! Hope you all have a great day :)

know what thats like ;) keep your chin up x

WS our cat only drinks out of the pond in the garden ( i say pond it is just a large tub really that DH has dug into the ground) despite the fact she has access to fresh filtered water in her bowl , she would rather drink the pond water which is teeming with 'things'

back from work , have the weekend infornt of me now :j, i have cleaned the bathroom and kitchen and tidied round, i need to hoover through which i will do in a minute, i have put the living room patio door curtains in the washer, the dining room ones fared well yesterday , so fingers crossed for these ones.

then all there is to do is prepare stuff for the bbq later , oh and pick DD1 up from work

Lovely here again today, we've been to Tesco for petrol & hubby is now sieving one of the compost bins. The GP qually starts soon, so he'll come in then for a burger in a bun.
We have picked radish & lettuce so far today to go with the burger & there are carrots & potatoes for tomorrow to go with a gammon joint.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Hope you have a good walk JackieO. I too am envious of the bbqs, ours had an accident in the storms over winter and I fear it may never work again - the big handle that lifts the lid came off so it will be too hot to lift now and the side plates broke off also. May need to invest in another as we use it quite a lot.

Not had time to catch up with the last few days thread so hope everyone is well, welcome to the newbies. Work seems to have got the better of me this week so no time to log on. I am trying to clean the deck today with the pressure washer but had to come in for a break as I could feel the sun on the back of my neck!

Have a good weekend all. Take care. XX
