Hi,
AVOID 3 AT ALL COSTS!
I've had a really bad experience with 3. I've purchased a phone that does not work in my area (despite 3's website saying reception is fine in my area and their sales people ensuring me that it would be fine too.) Everytime I make a call I get cut off a couple of seconds later, this even happened when I phoned 3's call centre to try and resolve the issue!!
I was given some steps to try and resolve the problem. (After spending hours on the phone getting no where - not fun when you've got 2 children under 2) But a couple of days later my phone said 'inactive SIM' and would not work at all.
It was then arranged (after a few more hours of going round in loops on their customer service phone lines...) that my phone would be collected and 'fixed.' My husband received a phone call the next day from the engineer who said I should never have been sold the phone in the first place as my area is unsuitable for 3G phones.
Currently I'm trying to get a refund on this phone, it is not fit for purpose nor of satisfactory quality and this is contrary to the law on mobile phones.
The phone was not returned to me on the day it was promised. I have been promised return phone calls from 3 - this has not happened. All in all I'm very disappointed with the service and quality of products they provide. I would not touch 3 with a barge pole0 -

No problems here (I'm touching wood)... Been with '3' for over 3 years and since problems a few years ago service has been fine...
You will find good and bad with all providers as threads on here show!0 -

it depends on your area i think, I have been with 3 for 1 year, just started my 2nd with them and i have not had a problem at all, in fact i get a better signal than dh does now with Vodafone.
My DH had them a year prior to me and he did have some signal probs then, but things improved.
i would recomend them0 -
I've been with 3 since they first started out and initially had some problems which were handset related rather than the fault of 3. I'm still not convinced about speaking to someone in a call centre in another country who doesn't understand what I'm saying but I rarely ever speak to them.
The valleys of South Wales get a pretty good 3 signal, so I'm rarely ever switched to 2 or 2.5g.
I would recommend someone to go to 3, and would happily be your recommend a friend to get the £30 credit too. :-D__________________________________
