I fell for a similar "service" with pointshop.co.uk (also based in Denmark) - a free Angry Bird toy for taking up a £1/14 day trial of their supposedly VIP service. Forget to cancel and you are then signed up to £45 per month getting lifted from your account.
No doubt these services are legal but clearly set up for gullible people (I fell for it, so not being insulting!) who look for something for nothing and somehow manage to miss the small print. They are wrong but not sure what you can do or whether it is possible to get a refund?
The wording of their T&Cs/website is very similar - due to technical reasons not possible to unsubscribe within 24/48 hours etc.

I have just tried phoning All About Prizes (AAP's) and received a message to say,"this number is not accepting calls at present." I've tried every 15 minutes and received the same message. I have been onto my bank and they've put a monitor on my account and said if AAP's try making any further withdrawals from my account they will get it refunded. I personally think we should, as an extremely disgruntled group club together and take legal action. A friend of mine is a litigation expert and I'm sure he'd be very willing to help. Also I think we should go to the National Press to make others aware of this company's deceitful business.
The same here! I had £29 taken from my account 4 times before I noticed. Iam devastated because I am single mother and I’m already in debt. This is disgraceful!I fell into trap with promise of £0.50 razor. When I noticed cancelled my cardand tried to contact company over the phone to cancel my membership, by no one isanswering so I sent them email. I also tried to retrieve my password from theirwebsite so I can unsubscribe online but message is coming saying that my emailis not in their data base. This is only email address I ever used... I also calledmy bank’s fraud team as suggested in my branch but they told me that I have totry to contact company first and then if that is not working I should call bank’sdispute team. By then I will probably lose£150. I am absolutely gutted that I fell for this scam when I am struggling withday to day expenses even thou I work full time. If somebody believes that thereis any chance of suing this company and winning please let me know.I am up forit...I had enough being scammed by different companies in this country andlosing my hard earned money!

....and you will pay £30 membership fee before you will get your "bargain". I got MP3/WMA shuffle player 2GB made by DENVER. It's a cheap electronics company and I am sure that it didn't cost £30 but a lot cheaper. I was not able to cancel my membership via website so I contacted my bank,if Allaboutprices will take more money out of my account they will have to refund it.
At least I got an MP3 player,I can't imagine how the "free razor" receivers are feeling now :laugh:0 -
I am bouncing! How could I be so stupid and pay 50p for a razor!
Now I have had 29 quid taken from my bank account.
3rd of October the payment left my bank for 50p and I checked my money just now and 29 quid has gone! What can we do, is there anything we can do at all?
I have phoned Lloyds and I have to ring after 8 tomorrow.
Oh and I had the razor on Saturday 13th.0 -

Like alot of you, we need to be careful of ALL ABOUT PRIZES, im not sure if they exist but I filled in a survey for them and was told I would get a £10.00 gift card, well guess what I never got it but, I did get a shock when I found that the cheeky so and so,s took £29.00 out of my bank account, was given a phone number by the bank but, its only open 1-3pm.
The goverment need to stop this happening to good honest people, they did not have permission to take this money, I am so upset and annoyed..... so please all be careful.0 -
