Been a bit hectic today. Spent most of the afternoon at the hospital with my mum - she has pneumonia. So she is on strong antibiotics and has to take it easy for at least a week. Luckily I have the pneumonia jab, so I shouldn't get anything nasty.
Anyway, still trying to get some work done today. I'm nearly at £33, which is my target for the day, so will stop soon. Was hoping to get some cross stitch done, but won't get time now.
Spent £2 in the car park at the hospital, but that's all today.

Thanks GRC

Took my mum back to the doctor yesterday morning. Spent 2.5 hours there waiting to be seen (a drop-in surgery). That wasn't helped by the fact that the doctor pi**ed off for a break for 30 minutes whilst she still had 3 patients waiting to see her. She is a terrible doctor, no apology or anything. I went to see her once and she diagnosed me with hayfever and sent me away with a prescription for antihistamines. I went back the next day to see a proper doctor and then got diagnosed with a chest infection. I now refuse to see the rubbish doctor.
My mum said she got diagnosed with pneumonia on Sunday and the terrible doctor said that pneumonia was another word for a chest infection. I looked up and said that some doctors say hayfever is another word for a chest infection - she didn't respond :rotfl:.
She decided that my mum doesn't need to be on IVs in hospital, so she just has to carry on with the oral antibiotics (which according to her should start to take affect in 24 hours - does she know nothing?? At least 48 hours I would say).
Anyway, didn't get as much work done as I wanted to yesterday as I did some housework for my mum in the afternoon.
Got a much better night's sleep last night, so feeling more 'with it' today. My mum gave me £10 yesterday to make up for the diesel and parking costs. She also wants me to buy her newspapers for her for the rest of the week. I tried to refuse it, but she insisted. So I went and bought £8 worth of shopping last night (used £3 Luncheon vouchers too), so I have £5 left to get her papers with.
I just went on Amazon and ordered her the DVD The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel as she said she wanted to see it. Used my survey vouchers and it will be a nice surprise for her when it comes through.

Feeling so tired today. Up early to take OH to the train station and I'm now looking after my nephew until around 2pm. Good news is that OH is away tonight and tomorrow night on a training course and my sister is having to take tomorrow and Friday off to look after my nephew (as my mum's not doing it this week), so I won't have to do the school run this week. No early starts for me
.
OH is also away all next week as he's going on a 'lads' holiday. Feel like I'm getting a bit of a holiday myself too - will be so nice to have a week of peace and quiet
. I'm going to try and blitz the flat too. It needs a really good clean and tidy and it's so much easier when it's just me there. Need to make a list later on.

Sorry I haven't posted for a few days. Lot our internet connection on Wednesday. Problem is, Sky went down in the whole of the area, and my mum and sister are on Sky too, so I couldn't even use their internet.
Been helping my mum out a lot too, although she is feeling much better now, so she should be back to normal next week. Her DVD just came through the post and she was really pleased
.
Need to organise my massive clean up next week. Here's the list:
Lounge/Dining Room:- Hoover
- Dust
- Hoover sofa
- Clear out all items that shouldn't be in that room
- Try to fix blind
- Clean patio door (inside and out)
Hallway:- Hoover
- Sort out cupboard
Bedroom:- Hoover
- Dust
- Clean window
- Change bed sheets
- Sort out wardrobe
- Sort out under the bed
- Sort out chest of drawers
- Get up to date with washing
Bathroom:- Clean bath
- Clean sink
- Clean toilet
- Sort out cupboard
- Clean floor
Kitchen- Sort out and clean cupboards
- Clean fridge
- Clean freezer
- Clean oven
- Clean worktops and sink
- Clean floor
- Clean window
What a list!! Going to try and do 1 room a day Mon-Fri next week. Might have to buy a few cleaning supplies in the meantime though.
Still need to work on my goals too. Going to be a busy little bee I am .

I wrote that last post out at lunchtime believe it or not, but then the internet went down AGAIN :mad::mad:. Stupid Sky. Luckily I copied and pasted the post or I would have been seriously peeved.
To top it all off, I then discovered I had a flat tyre. Kwik Fit were too busy to come out and fix it so I had to get my uncle to come over and change my tyre (so much prefer having a proper spare in the boot rather than a stupid foam kit). Lastly my mum had a rash and wanted to go back to the doctor just as the tennis was starting (turned out to be a reaction to the antibiotics). Luckily I saw the last set. WELL DONE ANDY MURRAY :T:T:T:T:T. I'm going to be having kittens on Sunday. I believe he can do it though .
Anyway, finally back home now. OH is out on a work's meal tonight so I have to pick him up later.
