    Can't see what there is to challenge, the ex employer is just going through the motions to reclaim the money you agreed to pay.

    Bob, basically the guy stood next to me ensuring I signed it. I can't prove this though.

    I think making contact and talking to them is important before they send it to the DCAs. Costs and charges will then build so quickly even you, an accounts person will be shocked.

    The main mistake you've made is the old head in the sand, hope it will all go away routine.

    It's an auditing qualification as opposed to an accountancy one, which I subsequently completed six months after I left.

    As advised, it will take more than a signed bit of paper to obtain a CCJ.
    They would need a correctly drawn contract signed before commencement of the terms, not after.
