What do you mean, you got away with it?

i was driving my works van both times, they told them that it was me driving at the time, they then sent me a latter asking to to confirm this which i did, they asked to to take my license to the courts along with £60 for the fine.. i ignored them twice and i heard nothing back, that was 4 years ago now...

If you dont believe me contact any law firm and ask them to confirm this..

Wrong. ask any lawyer, i got caught do 59 and 55 in a 50 and both times i got away with it... do your research

It's changed now. There was a short period when this did work, but now they'll just send you a summons for both speeding and S172 if you don't reply. If you fail to turn up at court they'll do you under S172 (up to 6 points, up to £1000 fine) and if you do turn up then depending on what you have to say they'll either do you for S172 or speeding.

The court can impose up to 6 points and £1000 for speeding too.

well i know for a fact this was true at some point, the law is forever changing and its hard to keep up with it.

Thanks for confirming this though, as it looked as though some of these guys were calling me a liar :)
