That is interesting - but no mention of the E7 !0

For anyone interested, here is a recent (this month) comparison review of 10 modern mobiles with actual real keyboards, ranging for 15 quid to a few hundred.

Thanks, but that review confirmed what I feared.. all those phones use tiny portrait keyboards which I'm not capable of using as it hurts too much.
I really am going to have to import a Droid 4 and hack it if I want a decent keyboard phone
OP doesn't seem to be requiring a keyboard though. The ridiculous thing about the whole situation is that I have the money and am willing to pay for the E7 - And in the current economic climate, this must be a rare thing
Yet I cannot buy one
I will have to leave Nokia for another company.....
Computer Exchange will sell you a second hand unlocked E7. The ones they claim to be in mint condition go for £220.0 -
Thanks - But I prefer to buy new - I will have a look at HTC0

HTC or Samsung if you're going for an Android phone.
Out of interest, what's wrong with the Nokia N8 since you don't seem to need a keyboard, but like Symbian?0 -
I do need a keyboard - a H/W one
I have just found another E7 supplier (sold out)
http://www.fones.com/ which appears to be UK based - any reports on this company ?0 -
OK I have bought myself a Samsung Galaxy Note from T-mobile on a PAYG/SIM FREE basis - keeping my existing £15 per month contract with Tmobile - at a remarkable £190 !!
The chap at the checkout had told me £260 - but it only asked for £190 - the screen is nice and big - and using the stylus, takes some getting used to but seems acceptible0 -
I actually prefer using a stylus for some things. Can't that phone also let you use your fingers though?
With the HTC it was a capacitive screen, so I had to buy a special (and expensive) stylus to use it again. I did miss the resistive screens from Nokias.
Sounds like you got a decent deal though. Hope it works well for you.0 -

I think that I did - the list price is around £600 !!
and the screen is nice and big - the on screen keys are nicely spaced - so yes I can type on it OK....
The stylus is the same on this Samsung - it has a button on it - which "looks" expensive....0
