    morning all!

lovely again:) I need some more summer clothes but these will have to wait till next week when I can go shopping.

Had a great day yesterday - loved painting outdoors had a lovely pub lunch then a great evening out with DS1:) was a late night but I slept well so feel good this morning!:T

Plans for today are - make a list for grocery shopping then go and do it. Laundry galore, Ironing.

This morning I'm doing a 2 hour cleaning job which pays for my haircuts and dye for the month.

Hester - its scary isn't it about how your money just doesn't go nearly as far as it used to. How long have you lived there? just wondering what the timescale was for your figures.

    Have a great day all x x

OH and dd will have an omelette and chips tonight, not sure what I will have, maybe some fish and salad.

    Morning all,

I'm such a grumpy so and so. I moan about the rain and the wet miserable weather and i am purposely keeping my blinds closed on the windows today to keep the house cool. The windows are open behind them and i get a gentle breeze running through the house which is lovely. All this will be destroyed when hubby comes home later tonight and will open all the blinds, close all the windows and put the air con unit on. I think about the electricity it uses and the noise throughout the night. Its not that loud but loud enough!

I have been down the garden with the dogs and watered the plants. I think we are going to have far too many salad vegetables this year (as we did last year) and the sun is scorching the leaves on some of the plants on the high shelf in the greenhouse. I'll need to think about the best way of overcoming that. The water feature needed topping up with water as it was almost dry. Thats another little job for me to check on as i presume if it runs too dry it will break the pump.
Ive cleaned the fridge out as i will need to go grocery shopping maybe later (or tomorrow morning) as the cupboards are bare!

Must catch up with a few emails too. Ive been waffling a lot on MSE and neglecting my emails.

Steak for tea, wish me luck as cooking steak is another of my many failings.

Love to all and hugs to those who need them.

    Morning everyone.

It's another b-e-a-u-tiful day here :j I am really loving this sunshine although I confess I am not out in it much. As I tend to burn I have decided to be pale and interesting and avoid wrinkles than look tanned :o

Plans are to clean bathroom, put vac round, do more washing and then ironing this afternoon with a film on :D

Tea will be whatever I decide I can be bothered to cook as by that point it's sooooo hot in the house :rotfl:

Morning all, it is so lovely outside. I'm having a sneaky day off today and that is even more lovely. I have taken a large sirloin steak out of the freezer for tea. I will slice it and make a steak & pepper sizzle thingymjiggy. We can have salad and wedges with it. Might be a lazy moo and buy some frozen wedges. I was going to bake this morning but i need more chocolate so it will have to wait for this afternoon. Orange & chocolate muffins, brownies & freezer biscuits. Enjoy you day all.

    Morning everybody,
I want to finish the ironing while the kitchen is cool, once the sun moves round it's too hot to do it.Tea tonight will be salad(again:D)but what with I can't decide. There are some Al&i tuna steaks in the freezer,or I quite fancy bulghar wheat salad, have got loads of mint in the garden. The rest of 'em aren't that keen though, but it keeps ok so I could have it for lunches for a couple of days.See,I've talked myself into it;)
DH mowed the grass last night so that looks a lot better now. They came home from work at 4-had enough of being on a roof by then, they were shattered. It was lovely to eat outside last night but the table has deffo seen better days.
Lame Wolf-hope you have a great holiday.
Hope everyone is ok,hugs if not.
The ironing is calling-well no not really but needs must.Have good days all.x

Morning all (just) beautiful day here in north Kent .I had a boiled egg for breakfast with a bit of whole wheat toast and it was lovely I had treated myself to M&S organic free range eggs last week and at £2.79 for half a dozen they were a bit pricey but oh so gorgeous.Just like eggs used to taste before they became the insipid supermarket ones. They were extra large as well hence why I only had one but it was yummy .How sad am I drivelling on about boiled egg:):)
History class this afternoon and tomorrow I am off on a blue badge walk called 'Dickens London and the Thames'.We meet up at Tower Hill and it lasts about two hours, but the pace is gentle and the guide is brilliant.I shall take a bottle of juice to keep me hydrated all the same.
Right I'm off to rustle up some lunch, probably some soup and a roll with an orange to follow
have a great day whatever you are doing
    Cheers chums JackieO xx
PS well done on you water diet De1amo :):)you know it makes sense :):)
