a huge thanks op I managed to buy lots of great plants, just what I needed. So now my pots and veg garden looks great!! just need to use the watering can when I want to use the hosepipe!!!!

Even the reduced plants were bogof and I bought sungold tomatoes, huge ones for 75p each!! not worth growing them from seed for that price. Now settled nicely into my greenhouse.
  • Thanks OP.
Does anyone know if they sell good rose bushes/have a good selection? Only ever brought them from a garden centre but will head to b&q if they are on BOGOF and look good...anyone else brought one there recently? tia x

Staff at Cribbs Causeway said Head Office rang them after lunch to instruct them not to do seperate transactions, just to warn customers at the till that it was the cheapest plants that came off only. I went to CS and insisted I wanted them seperated.

I was in Newry store at about 6.30pm. There was plenty of stock left but a lot of it was bone dry and beyond salvaging. The poor boy at the tills was on his own trying to supervise the four self-service checkouts, while the other tills were all closed. It was mayhem. There was also some ignorant cow of a customer who decided that nobody was allowed to go past her and used her trolley to block the aisle she was in. It's a good job I didn't overhear her say that she wanted decking for I'd have happily given it her.

Thanks OP. I went yesterday to get pick up a few perennials. All my plants were them same price so paying should have been a simple process.
That is if I had not been served by an obnoxiously rude Jeremy Kyler. She shoved my plants about, huffing, puffing and scowling and when I explained that she had scanned some of the plants twice she just grunted, "no I ain't." On checking my receipt I noticed that she had indeed scanned too many plants. "My sister who was with me went to tell the delightful checkout troll of her error and was met with, "Well, she'll afta wait!"

I found the Manager and explained how I had been treated. He apologised the error, sorted out a refund and allowed me to swap the plants with severed limbs. He said he would speak to the cashier once the store had quietened down. He said that she was quite new and hadn't dealt with the pressure of a busy day very well. She was obviously missing her PJs sofa and Jeremy Kyle omnibus!!
Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j
