Does anybody have any experience with Sainsburys kitchen appliances?

When you order via Sainsburys and Boots Kitchen Appliances, the appliances are actually supplied by a company called DRL Ltd, who in turn farm the delivery out to Wincanton.

In my very recent experience ordering a dishwasher via Boots Kitchen Appliances, DRL have been abysmal. The dishwasher had to be redelivered and was lost in their warehouse for ten days. The delivery guys couldn't connect the appliance, so I had to call a plumber out at my own expense who just connected it up more tightly. The dishwasher was delivered without an instruction manual. The whole thing has gone on and on but finally it is in situ and working!

If you search back through the threads on here, there are lots of horror stories involving DRL. (How I wish I had listened!)

I'm surprised companies like Sainsbury's and Boots put their reputations on the line with outfits like DRL.

i bought my gas cooker for sainsburys and it arrived within a week on the stated day ive had no problems would buy from them again plus you get necter points

wouldnt touch them with a bargepole,they take money off your card strait away although they havent got goods but on internet they say in stock.
I ordered as I thought through sainsburys ,then they harrased me on phone to take out repair plan for american style fridge freezer £5.99 a month although they didnt have it in stock.Got wise and asked for visa refund yesterday within two hours of orderering will have to see how long it take to get money back on card be warned,have seen other things on iternet about DRL Limited

You cancelled within two hours of ordering and that's an indication of service?

I had three appliances delivered through boots, they came all together within a few days of ordering, on the day specified. I had a call in the morning and again when they were nearby. They worked hard to get everything through the house without causing damage.

My advantage points didn't log but they were very friendly and it was sorted out quickly.

No complaints. I'm not sure that these people always keep stock - sometimes they come direct from the manufacturer!
