Does anybody have any experience with Sainsburys kitchen appliances?

My fridge/freezer gave up the ghost a few weeks ago and due to time pressure I only now get around to look for a replacement. Local shops so far proved to be fairly useless (and I don't like Argos/Comet) so after a bit of searching around the Internet I found that Sainsbury's was offering the best price on the f/f I was after.

Does anybody have any experience with their service, good or bad, before I hand over my hard-earned readies?

not used sainsburys for a major appliance.
try john lewis for price and very good warranty. free delivery too.

tescos and asda? my son gets all his appliances from there, never had a problem apart from a TV. asda gave him a refund.

Thanks for the tip regarding John Lewis, but unfortunately I need an integrated unit instead of a freestanding one and the only one they have is almost twice as expensive as the one I've got my eye on. Similar problems with Tescos and ASDA...

Nice idea of the Previous Owner of my house to put in a fitted kitchen but that's currently biting me in the backside...

Try Boots, when I was looking for kitchen appliances I found them to be fairly cheap. Plus you'll get Advantage points.

Well, Boots wasn't that great simply because I don't collect Advantage points (don't buy enough there) and they aren't that cheap for the fridges I'm looking at.

Nevertheless, dealtime found me the Baumatic fridge I was looking at for another 30 quid less so thanks for the recommendation!

Tried to buy an integrated fridge freezer and a washer from Sainsburys last October. The plan was to fit in with the kitchen refit. Unfortunatley after ordering items the delivery dates kept slipping. In the end cancelled order and bought elsewhere -more expensive. Make sure items are definitely in stock before placing order.

I have just replied to another message on this board about a fridge freezer we have just bought - so not spamming! We are moving house soon & our integrated f/f broke so we just needed a cheap replacement & found one here http://www.waterline.co.uk/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=RF010&cid=BuiltInFridgeFreezers&language=en-GB for £176 inc vat in one of their kitchen appliance clearance events - they may be able to do a similar deal for you if you ring & ask? We had it fitted last week & so far so good!

glad about that.
dealtime is very good but not perfect. there are others too.
worth using a few of em to get a feel for the best possible price out there.
well worth a few minutes to save eg. 30 quid.

I bought from Sainsbury's - they were excellent but it all fell down with the delivery firm they use.

I ordered Wahing Machine, Dishwasher, Cooker, Hob and hood.

All bar the dishwasher was delivered.

2 times I waited in for them to deliver the dishwasher and it did not arrive. On the third time, it arrived and they brought all the other items I had ordered again as well. Total doughnuts!

I have used Sainsburys Home Appliances twice and found the service and price to be very good. I would certainly place another order in the future
