Bankrupt but excellent credit score - which credit card???

Hi there
I'm a bit stuck! I went bankrupt in 2010 and have recently checked my credit expert report which shows me with a score of 900+ excellent!
I am wanting to apply for a credit card in order to one satisfy my curiosity (I'm being honest!) to see if someone will actually give me one and two to show on my credit history that I can have credit and repay it (at present it shows me with nothing)
Should I be applying for credit cards that say they are for bad credits and rebuild your credit or should I just apply for high street ones??
I'm stuck as my credit score is excellent so technically I don't need to build it up however it does show on my report that I have been bankrupt so creditors might not give me one on those grounds??
Please help! :) :

the score means nothing, no if you have no open credit accounts, then you r back to square one. Your may get a card from the sub prime market, or even your own bank (provided you didnt default them) and build your rating back up that way. I'm guessing your limit will be low with a high rate.

    You've answered your own question

    "Bankrupt but excellent credit score"

Really, does this seem right to you..
Can I find out my credit score?
You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)

If ever there was a perfect example of why these paid for credit scores are a waste of money, this is it.

100% CORRECT! Wonder what pearls of wisdom the Experian Representative on this forum could offer.

Do you need any more proof that a "score" of 910/1000 is meaningless, when you were bankrupt just 2 years ago?

I'm not making a judgement about bankruptcy, just an observation about the relative risk of lending to bankrupts versus non-bankrupts.

You can get a blockbuster card they're on the high street.

Getting a high street credit card with a 2 year old bankruptcy order is like trying to join the police force with an armed robbery charge it's not going to happen.

    Something fishy with this poster.

You seem to have suspicions about most posters, it's no skin off my nose if people aren't honest, costs me nothing.

In some ways I would prefer this to be trolling or similar, I think it's just an indication of how millions of people have absolutely no idea about basic financial matters.

You need to be bound by the T&C of the card issuer. There will be terms that probably exclude anyone that is an undischarged bankrupt from applying for a card, but more worryingly, the act of applying in itself may leave you open to charges of fraud. Ask your trustee for advice.

An undischarged bankrupt will find no one to lend to him.

BO lodged in 2010 - I suspect its been discharged under a 12mth BO.

However, quite after leaving a string of unpaid creditors he would want to put himself in a similar position (unless somehow he has won the lottery in the meantime and has a completely different set of financial circs ... is quite, quite, beyond me .. and prob an indiciation as to why he went belly up in the first place !).
