Do you give the estate agent the code for the alarm or the wireless fob?

If the agent is likely to be doing viewings when you've set the alarm, you'll have to, won't you?0
-
Personally I wouldn't be giving out any I would insist on being there but that's just me0

Going to be away for the week, so do I set it?0

Well do you want the agents to show people around in your absence?
If so, either you have to leave the alarm off or give them the number and trust them to set it again when they leave (or not, I suppose)
If you don't want them in whilst you are away, set it and tell them yo are away for a week so any potential viewers will have to wait.
Depends how desperately you want to get viewers in to get it sold.0 -

if you do, you have to turn down all viewings for that week. do you REALLY want the EA turning up for a viewing and setting off the alarm?0 -
Best thing is to set the alarm, then ask the EA to arrange viewings while you are away. But do NOT provide the codes.
Durrrr!
Is the alarm being set a condition of your insurance? If so, you have to set it!
If you set it, either you give out the code, or you don't allow viewings.
Pretty obvious really.....0 -
Is this a real question?0

Cant be, I any one this thick?0

Well I have a key fob alarm so can be just set by remote
Don't want to loose viewings when away!0 -

So what are you asking us?
You want viewings while you're away. You have an alarm.
If you want the viewing to take place while you're away, you have to either; leave the alarm off, since the agent has a key, or, if you're enabling the alarm, give the agent the means (and clear instructions on how) to switch the alarm on or off
Whether it's a remote alarm or not is irrelevant, unless there's something about your question that you're failing to communicate to us.....0
