OSB, do you mind me asking how you managed to get a payment plan with Payday Express? I'm having a nightmare with them and I keep paying £75 to roll it over and they're refusing a payment plan. I'm now telling them that if they don't accept a payment plan then I will have no option but to default!

    Many thanks :)
  • Best thing to do with them is to follow Jamesd's advice and do your legal homework. Confronting them via letter and telephone and giving them a dose of Payment Services Regulation Act 2009 laced reality will hopefully get the results you need.

They *should* help you out and put a payment plan together for you.

    ---

Payday is today and lets just say I've got a bottle of Dad's homebrewed cider to open tonight ;)

Uncle Buck has been paid off properly this morning and the rest of the payments have gone through on time without issue. Will be moving out of my flat on the 11th of July and moving to an ultra low rent room at the girlfriends until we can find a proper place to settle into. They've been very supportive so far so..well..wow!

Still though, no time to celebrate fully yet as I've got another 30 days to get through until the 28th of July where the majority of my PDLs will be paid off and the rest well on the way to being paid.

Also my pounds2pocket loan has now been officially been paid off and cleared so that will be in total probably over £400+ extra in July to pay down debt!!!

By 28th of August I plan to change my sig from PDLs to my conventional debt which is the two credit cards, my ZOPA loan and my overdraft. My bonus comes in during September which will kick off my big credit card offensive!

All in all so far its been a very productive 30 days! :D

  • Another month another set of good news! Have now paid off:

    - PaydayUK
    - Wageday Advance
    - Payday Express
    - 1MonthLoan

Feels so good to get all those monkies off my back! :D

Also after I moved out of my central london flat that not only freed up lots of money now I've moved to a cheaper place but also after Atlantic gas & electric did their final meter checks to complement ours found they owed me over £600!!!

Feel like I'm on top of the world! Shows how quick you can clear debt when you put your mind to it! I think now I can transform my sig to reflect how much I've spent paying down PayDay debt and focus on phase two on my journey to debt freedom: the credit cards!!! :D

  • Another month and some more monies paid off! :money: Haven't really got all that many PDLs left to pay as its just Wonga on its own with £280 left to pay on the 28th of this month.

Have now settled into a new house with the GF and another friend in a cosy house share. We did go trawling all the charity shops that sell furniture and then Argos and co to scan the bargains but only after we cleared all the bills first. I actually have a surprising amount of money to spend now which is a huge change from six months ago when this all started!

This is proof that if you stick at it then you can do it. There will be bumps along the way of course, the GF hates being in any kind of debt at all so has had a short fuse when it comes to talking about money but thats only because she cares about us. She's getting happier by the day as I climb out of debt.

The next step will be to change my sig below to reflect my credit card and loan debt. I aim to have this largely under control (and by that I mean all credit cards below £1000 each and loan well on the way to being repaid) by march in 2013.

Anyway clearing all these PDLs by the 28th of this month will be a huge achievement for me as it represents a return to normality. No more hiding or being embarrassed when people talk about PDLs around me. Most importantly by clearing these PDLs I've shown that I am solvent! :D

And I couldn't have done it without you guys! Thanks very much for being so awesome!:T:T
