Our radish are now ready for picking, had some that last two nights sliced onto a salad, mmmnnn! Also picked some baby lettuce leaves, lovely and tender.
Growing lots of other things, red onions, green beans, peas, parsnips are in for winter, potatoes are flowering, strawberries and raspberries are coming along, squash, tomatoes, different chards, cabbage, brocolli (I think), as well as half a dozen herbs and a bay tree. Plus other things that I can't remember just now lol
DH keeps telling people we are preparing for Armageddon :rotfl:
So, who grows what? x

I would like to, but I seem to be the kiss of death to plants.0

I've always wanted to grow my own vegatables but been a bit weery of starting. I don't trust the british weather enough to provide me with the correct weather I'd need for growing...0

We are in central Scotland, so far the weather has killed two courgette plants and our french bean plants, but that's it.
TBH we planted loads of things, all the things we like (just remembered we also have spring onions, leeks and garlic), we have been really lucky that so many things have worked out. We bought one of the 'walk in greehouses' from MrT's for £35, that's been brilliant for bringing on lots of plants.
One neighbour next door has now planted lots as well, and the two neighbours on the other side already grow lots of things, so we are getting lots of help and advice.
But I swear my DH is out talking to the plants like Prince Charles, willing them to grow :rotfl:Can't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
I was thinking of getting an indoor garden, so I could grow anytmie of the year, and not have to worry about the weather, the normal plants in my garden are struggling with the immense heat at the moment so I'm hopping they can hold out till it all cools down again.0

Yes - and my job is teaching other people to do it as well. Currently trying to house about 200 tomatoes and 300 chillis and peppers whilst I work out who is having what. And that's not even starting on the cukes, pumpkins and squashes - or courgettes. There's alot of greenery in my world! If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0
