There's a small holiday apartment in Combe martin in Devon, and they allow well behaved dogs.

Bit pricey, but if you get a family or two, it's very cost effective.

I've not heard of GSDs getting banned before, and when we did holiday camps, we have stayed at a haven?

I've got into camping this year, and I think that's where lots of dog owners go on their hols, there were lots of dogs tethered outside caravans and motorhomes, and come to think of it my sil bought her motorhome so she could travel with her two retreivers.

One dog pre travelodge room iirc.

Landmark Trust rent out a lot of their buildings and many allow up to 2 dogs. I've looked at several and quite a few have old fashioned courtyards with high brick walls that look perfect for dogs! The prices vary from building to building and in different dates but some of them work out as cheap as £20-25 per night, per person, if you can get a few people together (they do smaller accomodation that fits 2 or so people but they don't seem to be as cheap). I'm not majorly into history etc. myself but some of the buildings look so quirky/quite fascinating!

We stayed in a wonderful place in Wales its a B & B but they positively encourage dog owners as they have numerous dogs of their own... its in a really quiet spot but close to a small seaside town the pretty walk is 10mins and Tenby is a short drive away , great place for walkies ...the owners are very friendly..

  • I'm not a dog-owner, but have had a wonderful holiday here, and it seems very geared up for dogs. Rural Dorset rather than seaside, but easy day-trip to the coast.

Plenty of self catering, B&B's and Hotels are dog friendly.
Some friends of mine recently came up to West Cumbria to a lovely dog friendly cottage, we all stayed in one last year in Mid-Lancashire.
More recently they have stayed in a B&B in Somerset and will be returning there in July.
Oh and yes Travelodge do allow dogs
