sewage and welsh water please help

I would just like some advise on how I tackle a problem I have with welsh water before I take them on.

Basically in my water bill I get charged for sewage as everyone knows but the area I live in the sewage is not looked after or dealt with by welsh water which I have recently found out.

Now the question is what do I do. I am paying for a service for the last 5 years that I am not getting and I am pretty annoyed by this. Twice I have phoned them up and explained and they say they are passing me on to someone and the line goes dead as if they have cut me off.

Now surely this has to be against the law or something like that. Does anyone have any idea as I have calculated they have done this over 5 years which is roughly about £1500.

What firm does treat your sewerage, maintain sewers and drains etc? Do you pay them?

If you are correct that Welsh Water are not involved, then it is perfectly possible, and legal for them to sub-contract certain parts of their area.

You can telephone the Consumer Council for Water for advice if you believe you are being wronged.

Are Welsh water collecting the money for the other company ? Severn Trent do that to make it simpler for customers as they only get one bill.

You don't say if you are paying another bill for sewerage so maybe you need to expand on the situation
