Leg to stand on? Bought a car. Now all's gone wonky...

The warranty and service history are red herrings.
The Sale of Goods act gives you certain legal rights.
You need to get off the path you are on and get back on the right one.
The dealer who sold you the car owes you a remedy, not Mazda, not the warranty company, not the service history people.
The dealer who took your money has sold you faulty goods, the ball needs whacking back in to their court and hitting back in each time they try to wriggle out.
Call the dealer, explain that your legal adviser has told you to call them as prior to taking legal action you have to allow them the opportunity of rectifying the situation.
Come back with what they say.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

What if they say 'You should have given us the chance to fix it, not had it stripped down by a third party', which is what the OP has done?0 -
i agree with landy, eventhough the SOGA applies, the OP took the vehicle to a main dealer and authorised the work to be done to investigate the dealer is going to want paying! before the OP goes back to the supplier, the main dealer, is awaiting to put a claim into mazda HQ for the chain to be rectified under warranty, OP cant provide that the OP pays up the sum for the labour times involved in stripping the engine down.
so to remedy this the OP would have to jusggle the supplier to cough up for repairs at a dealer, outside of warranty!.0 -

I think that is the reason for calling them somehow.
Lets see what they say then tailor the advice to the reply.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
