Leaving UK indefinitely...months left on contract
Hello all
I'm new to the forum (signed up a long time ago though...but I think this is the first time I've posted).
Excuse if this is a 'silly' question but I am a little ignorant when it comes to phone contracts..
Anyway...I plan to leave the UK indefinitely and my 24 month Orange contract (just over £25/month) does not end till I believe this December.
What are my options (assuming there are any..) or do I just have to keep paying till my contract ends?
Thanks
K.

Pay the remainder or do a runner if you have little concious0

Sell the phone, if its a decent one, to pay off some/all of the remaining contract0

I'm guessing theres not a lot to do then...
I quite like the phone so I'm going to keep it (I believe it's sim free so I'll just stick a new sim once I reach my destination).
Yay only 7 payments to go...0 -
Make sure it supports the frequencies needed for your new homeland.0

You might be cheaper paying the remaining months now as a cancellation charge as some networks won't charge VAT. Might also be worth checking if you can move to a cheaper tariff first. There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.

Might just give them a call and see what they say...0 -
Urban myth about VAT I'm afraid. The discount is only based on a goodwill reduction for not using a pre-paid bundle, nothing else.0

It's worth asking if you can downgrade to a lower price bundle since you're in the final year of your contract.0
