You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -
Think I will spend some more time in this part of the forum - my mind has been racing... Lord knows what will happen when the solicitor gets in on the act...!
Seriously - we are all making light of something that is probably earth shattering for the OP. Seeing a relationship end like this in front of your eyes must be terrible with trust all gone.
The Estate Agent should not be doing this, not in the slightest professional and a clear conflict of interests. That said, you may confront him and he may show you a bit of paper that your soon to be ex scrawled her number on - you do not know.
Give him a dig and you may feel better, go down there and the office probably already know what is going on and the guy is probably built like a tank as otherwise giving him a dig would have already been resorted too.
Rubbish situation and I do feel sympathy for you. Man up - pull the house sale and then neither of them will be laughing then!
Aside from this, move out man and try and forget about it all.
I genuinely hope things improve for you
I completely agree with all of the above. If it is what it sounds like (divorce, EA crackin on to your ex) then it is extremely unprofessional and I think that whether the ex is happy with the attention or not it does go against DP to use a personal details for anything other than the purpose they were intended.
Either way it's clearly not something most employers would be happy with but EAs are different kettle of slugs when it comes to ethics. Report it to head office and swap EAs if you can. If not, sell the house and forget about it.House saving Targets:

Suggest the EA buys out your half of the house, and they can live there together happily ever after

Guys, if this situation is real, the OP must be regretting ever letting it loose on here. Let him come back with full details if he wants, I doubt it now to be honest, but I think you've had your fun with it now.0

Really ????????????...........
Ok, how is this for a scenario :
The estate agent is single.
The person selling the house is single (although has a posessive ex-husband in the background).
The estate agent and seller have a few conversations about the property and find themselves talking about other general chit chat stuff.
Both parties feel a mutual attraction.
The seller then texts the agent about general chit chat stuff, and not just about the house sale.
Following this there is an exchange of texts about random chit chat stuff.
Should the estate agent say, "sorry, you gave me this number to speak to you about the house sale only. If I reply, your ex-husband may go on an internet forum and be advised to report me to the Police for harassment, take out a civil action for contravening the data protection act, beat me up or get an associate to beat me up".
Or, should he just carry on with the chit chat ?0 -
maybe the agent is a chick and the ex has made the switch?!Sealed pot challange no: 3390

Should the estate agent say, "sorry, you gave me this number to speak to you about the house sale only. If I reply, your ex-husband may go on an internet forum and could, in passing, mention my employer's name, thus tainting the reputation of everyone else in my office, and also those in our other offices."......etc etc
Or, should he just carry on with the chit chat ?
The OP may not be able to google the parent company, but with his location in his profile, and a slightly different spelling from the OP....0 -
