Another tip is to check out the suppliers website at https://www.whois.is.

Look at the date it was registered, steer clear of anything registered recently.

Whois gives a postcode for the registrant in this case - BS1 6LL

Look up a postcode on Google Maps, get a feel for who you are dealing with.

But they won't be giving a real address. That would be silly!

Theit website has two postcodes, one for a property number that doesn't exist, using a postcode that is unique to a Kwik Fit depot.

The other postcode is a farm and a cottage in the countryside.

The BACS payments will be going to a feeder account opened with false details and the money quickly removed to their gang in Romania etc

The Money transfer will go straight to them.

    I know!

The point I am making is that a quick look over a company's registered details usually shows the dodgy ones. In this case neither postcodes looked right for their kind of business, add that to a new(ish) website registration and perhaps it would ring alarm bells.

I'm under the impression that to purchase red diesel you need an HMRC permit.

Quite a clever scam this, although poorly executed.

The majority of people placing and order WILL be looking to fill their cars illegally with it.

Now, who in their right mind will go to the Police to report this fraud knowing they'll also be collared for avoiding fuel duty??

Almost the perfect crime if it were not for the very dodgy looking website and suspicious payment reqquirements..
