how to switch off voicemail on mobile phone?
Hi all,
I want to switch off the voice messages on my mobile phone, but I can't see a way to do it?
I've got a Nokia 2630 (probably ancient by today's standards:rotfl:) and I'm on O2 pay-as-you-go. The problem is, I am getting loads of voice mail messages and it's costing me each time I dial 901, or whatever it is, to pick up the message, so I think I'd rather switch that function off. I figured if it's urgent the person can text me..
I can't see anything on settings, or would it be something I'd need to do thru O2? Is this something you can usually 'switch off'?

I think you have to ask O2 to disable them on their side.
EDIT: I was wrong and there is an easier way:
