What is the next best card to go for?

Options
I have just been turned down for the first time for a credit card

The card in question was the Tesco one. I chose it for 2 reasons. Firstly to take advantage of the 0% introductory offer on purchases until Novemver and, secondly, so I would be earning clubcard points for my purchases!

I have other cards (well 2 which I am in the process of BT both to the Virgin card - I then plan not to spend on this, just pay off) but this card would be used solely for the purpose of buying my groceries and petrol for the month then settling the balance (hopefully) in full by the end of the month.

What do you reckon would be the next best card to apply for?

Looking forward to your replies

You can check out the Halifax and the Sainsburys cards - fairly long 0% interest periods.

    Welcome.
Before continue with applications it is worth trying to understand the reason of rejection. Every application impairs your credit files. You can try asking Tesco. Requesting you credit files from Experian and Equifax (£2 each) also can help.

A lot of information on credit card is in the Credit Cards section of this site. All articles have links to a discussion thread inside.
The latest cashback card is being discussed HERE.

Tesco has become a hard one to get.

Try Amex - Good credit limits.

Theres also the if.com card (same specs as halifax)
