Well phoned then as soon as I got home from work today and asked them about the refund and they told me that it has been refunded back to the bank account the payment originally came from. I told them that the payment of £3887.01 was not made by me and did not come from my bank account and asked why it has been refunded back to the people who committed the fraud. They then said that I need to phone them back Monday and my call will be put through to the fraud department.
Its just getting a bit confusing now but will see what they say on Monday.0 -
Card companies do seem to get two accounts mixed up, my partner had issues with another person with a similar name, though he was of the opposite sex. Things got resolved eventually with mina and she got the benefit of his high spending points on a bmi card but in the end I think they just re-opened a new account to stop it.
Well I'm starting to think that this may be the case but my married name if quite unusual as its foreign. Don't understand why they can't be honest instead of treating it as fraud0 -

So could be a mistake made by santander?0 -
So if you didnt pay the cash, why you worried as its not your cash!Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

No was first told that it had been refunded back to the account I usually make payment from then when I phoned today I was told it has been reverted back to the account it come from so no its not in my account. Its gone to the fraudsters account0 -

I know its not my cash. Two payments were made to my account by someone else. One of £3900.00 and another of £3887.01. They then added the two amounts back to my account last month but this month they added on another amount of £3887.01. So two payments were made but three amounts have been added back to as I stated in the above0 -
In am not quite sure why I have to phone the fraud department. Two payments were made by someone else to my account in December. In April these two payments (one of £3900.00 and one of £3887.01) were added back to my account and refunded back to the person who originally made the payments. Santander have then added on another amount of £3887.01 to my account so it is a mistake made by them and has nothing to do with fraud.
l was lead to believe buy santander that all my problems are related to fraud but I now think its a mix up between two customers accounts and they are treating it as fraud to cover up their mistake.
The address change was properly a mistake made by a member of staff in the santander branch and this person that I'm calling the fraudster is proberly a legitimate customer. They proberly went to their local branch to change their address, presented them with their id and the person dealing with their request has spelt the name wrong and its come up with my account. This person has properly received my card at their address, activated it and used it genuinely thinking it was theirs.0
