wifi/broadband -mobile broadband-worth it?

Hi,
Ive seen this for wifi and wondering if anyone knows if its any good?

my understand in is could carry it around and use something like a ipod touch(mp3 player) and it would connect all the time?
Or have i got it horribly wrong?

Not 'all the time'-only where you can get a decent 3G signal, which certainly isn't everywhere.
It isn't wi-fi. it's mobile broadband-it simply connects your device locally by wi-fi.No free lunch, and no free laptop
