in Water bills
Could anyone tell me, who have had water filters fitted underneath the kitchen sink, roughly how much it costs to have them fitted please? Or, if you did it yourself, is it a big job?
We're so tired now of our water being saturated with chlorine.

I had a Harveys twintec fitted 2 years ago. I paid £1000 all in for the machine, cold water drinking tap and the fitting of it all.0

I fitted one myself purchased in Homebase similar to this, not particularly difficult if you have moderate DIY skills.

That is a water softener - which wasn't what was asked..............0 -
we fitted one from

in our last house. We moved and missed the lovely fresh water so we fitted another one under the sink in this house. There is a special tap on the corner of the sink unit. Excellent company by the way and excellent product. We have the pearl filter.
and the FW100 system and get replacement filters every six months0 -
Reverse osmosis is the only way to get rid of the nasty stuff out of water (especially fluoride) but it's eye-wateringly expensive.

Thanks alot to you all for your help, and links.
I've chosen the 'Freshwater's MP1K Mini water filter tap system'. It's reasonably priced, and the refills arn't bad. The thing I also like about it is it retains the good things like minerals. Also, it says it's easy to fit. Hope so because they charge an arm and a leg to install it.
If anyone has had a problem with these though, please let me know.
cajef- the 'pureflow' are nice and cheap, and will be ideal if they leave the minerals in. I've emailed them to ask.
