Anyone know what the penalty is to cancel a Three contract?

I have a 24 month contract with Three and am considering cancelling it.

Anyone know of the penalty I'll pay? Can't find the info anywhere online.

Afraid he's right... They'll try and get everything. (if you pay £30 a month and you have 10 months left, they'll bill you £300 and will probably try and ask for the phone back!

Not sure they can ask for the phone but the remaining amount of the contract is pretty guaranteed

Also remember if you do cancel and don't pay up it could affect your credit file because 3 may put it on for non-payment.

as far as i know you pay the remaining months minus the vat, ( you Dont give the phone back, if they ask they have no right too, as you are paying the contract off,
  • It's remaining term * monthly cost - 10% if you're a customer who's upgraded or on a recurring contract. If you're in your first contract with them, it's remaining term * monthly cost - 3%.

I was being jovial when I said they'd probably try and ask for the phone back!

If they try and charge the full cost of the contract... Why cancel it? You may as well see it out!

No 'minus the VAT' - but no penalty either. You pay what you agreed under contract, and they may agree to negotiate for not supplying the bundle which can give you around 10% discount (which will also reduce the VAT), but it is all at the discretion of the network.
