    Hmmm clear as mud then.

    Surely the fact that components have to be removed to fix the issue would put it outside the responsibility of the tenant - plus the fact that the birds have outwitted the contraption designed to keep them out would mean that it wasn't fit for purpose. I shall badger the agency and see what they say.

    We have always had House Martins nesting in our eaves. This year a pair decided to build their nest in a corner of the ceiling in the open porch area of our front door. I have had to remove all door mats and put newspaper down, as the poop that family are producing below the nest is already quite heavy, and will only get worse as the chicks grow!:eek:

    Just to add to the problem, we now also have bats coming in the porch at night and pooping everywhere, so it is a continual clean up job in order to stop feet bringing it into the house.
