Good Morning x
Tru - Sorry about Molly x
We bought a new little piggy yesterday - she is beautiful and I will try and get a photo later but she is very shy. She has long hair and is tri-coloured and called Pika, short for Pikachu. So we now have Misty, Pikachu and are on the look out for Ash - a grey haired piggy!
Well the sun is out but Im cold this morning and sat huddled in Uggs, blanket and heated pad on my tummy. Still need to get going as I have an appointment this morning.
I have kept my youngest son off school today. He is taking his exams but they dont allow study leave anymore at his school. He has already completed a couple of subjects because of his hard work and I found out that he has been asked to help out the other students with their work in the lessons. All very well but he needs to revise for his exams so I made an executive decision that he will stay off and revise. He is sat in the dining room as we speak:eek:
Hope you all have a good day and dont get sun burnt xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
morning all
really need to get back into routine and OS. things have slipped a lot recentlyfood bill has gone up so need to get that down. we've been eating easy foods ie takeaways and buying lunch rather than making them etc.
need to pop to chemist and get another tube of cream for ds. he has come cream on repeat for his skin. his face and neck are red and itchy this morning. think its the sun or his suncream triggering itpoor thing woke twice in the night asking for cream as he was all itchy. trying to delay giving him his antihistames (sp) til later on as it will get wore the hotter he gets and temperature are meant to reach about 26 degrees today
other than that, lots of washing to do. left the washing in the garden folded in the basket (was bedding). when i went to get it later on, the neighbours cat had made itself comfymeant i had to re-wash it as hubby is allergic to them and will set him off scratching... its a friendly cat (over friendly :rotfl:) but it can be a PITA at times... wouldnt be so bad if hubby was allergic to it and it didnt leave "parcels" in the conservatory...
plan to concentrate on the living room today and get that decluttered. this house needs to in some kind of order before the baby comes. hubby is doing better at being tidy but it gets messy so quickly. we have too much stuff in a little house so it needs to be sorted.
fingers crossed to all those with exams today or this week. i remember mine even though they were 14yrs or so ago
hugs to all who need themenjoy the sunshine

Morning ladies:), havent managed to get on here for ages, so have no idea what has been going on:o:o.
Life is slowly getting back to normal, woofer is healing well. Still on lead only walks round the garden but weight bearing well. Think he is going stir crazy not being able to go for a run round.
The funeral of my friends partner went well. It was a very emotional day and I came away feeling physically and mentally drained. She is coping better than before . Still see/ speak to her everyday as she hates being on her own which is understandable.
House feels like a bomb has hit it.:o. Everyone is so busy with their studies at the moment so that is obviously top priority as far as I am concerned. Its 'clean and tidy'
but could really do with a deep clean. Must get my bum into gear, but feel really run down so doing little at a time.
Have lost another stone and a half in weight:T. Have been cheating on the diet a fair bit as well so not to sure how that has happened.
Weather is glorious. Washing on the line , windows open wide .Its just lovely. Long may it last.
Dinner tonight is steak and salad.
Ds2 is home until September a week friday. Cannot wait .It is lovely having him home.
Thats about all from me atm. Hope everyone enjoys the sun and has a lovely day.:):)Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -
Ironed steadily yesterday - still ironed less than I washed. Darn. There seem to be shirts coming at me from all directions.
Forgive typos - evil cat trying to stand on keyboard. A few years ago it would have been lift and drop from about three inches. She is too frail to do that now. However she was trying to get out at midnight to square up to the local intact tom.
Waiting for pain killers to kick then more ironing and washing blankets. We have been promised good summers before, and they fibbed. I am seizing the opportunity.
Tea tonight is fish. For some reason it is the highlight of little bear's trip to the piano teacher to pick up some fish from the co-op on the way home. He loves his fish.

Indeed wannabesybil its definitely a carpe diem day when it comes to washing. We have had so much rain for the past few weeks its a treat to get the stuff out on the line blowing in the breeze. Its a beautiful spring morning here in north Kent and I have started to do a bit of tidying up in my computer room (full of boxes of odds and ends )I have a line of washing billowing as I look out of the window and some ironing to do later on.
I have the Physio lady coming later to access me for a bar to go in my bathroom so I don't fall over getting in and out of the bath/shower.I am hoping next year to get my bath removed and a walk-in shower installed as I think it would be a lot safer with my unstable joints ,but I'll have to think about it a bit more .DD wants me to get it done as she worries about me falling over(hurts if your stone cold sober)My bathroom is so tiny, the bath is worse than useless anyway.I have an over-the-bath shower that both my OH and I used since we moved here I think the bath was only used as one when the grandchildren were little. She's not arriving until half four so after she's been I may have a short walk around the Riverside Park to blow the cobwebs away.
Hope everyone has a splendid day and fingers crossed for all the youngsters taking their exams .0 -
Morning all,
Beautiful day here too. Ive got the beds stripped and the washer on with the intention to line dry the lot. Hope this glorious sunshine holds out a few days longer as i'm loving it.
Ive had had my bath and am just drying off and catching up on a few posts/emails at the same time.
Lots of emotional stuff going round my head at the moment about my Mom. Feelings of not being good enough go hand in hand with thinking about my Mom. Mainly because she put them there. I'm going to see her tomorrow ive decided.
Moving swiftly on.... need to go to the post office today (again). Sam the post master must be sick of seeing me. Still, it keeps him in a job.:)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Lovely sunny morning here today, I have left my tights off for the first time this year and my porcelain legs are reflecting the sun. Really happy to see the sun at last.
Quieter day at work hopefully, our pupils have not been allowed study leave either (although DS, who is at a nearby school has been off for nearly 2 weeks) and they are really fed up.
Tea tonight is tray bake salmon and green beans.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -

molly cheek of the school to do that!
upspeak drives me potty too, didn't realise there was a name for it
Morning all. I have an exam this afternoon so doing a few past questions to get me in the swing of it today, plus revising a bit for my exam first thing tomorrow. Think I'll stick another wash on after my bath today, perfect day for drying towels
My milkandmore order came today (had a £5 code which made it just about reasonable) and I asked them to put it in the porch but of course it was left right out in the sun, the milk was warm by 8.30! Feels very luxurious to have milk in glass bottles but I don't know when they collect the bottles. The depot is literally 50m from my house so I might just walk over to reception.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0
