New injectors need coding. This just a simple injector seal replacement, same injector, no coding necessary."Retail is for suckers"

Update
Luckily it was just a seal replacement and he had no issues removing/replacing the injector, total bill £75 (thinks was £60 labour and £15 for the replacement kit) which I feel was not too bad considering some of the horror stories I read about

Glad to hear it.
You did have all four done didn't you?! They all blow about the same time, so you'll be back soon if it was just the one you had done!

Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a peugeot 307 sw with the 1.6 hdi engine, It is advertised with an injector seal problem, Do you think what you have talked about above maybe the same problem as the car im looking at ?
Cheers

Maybe or maybe not.
If its just a seal. Why would they not fix it and sell it for more money?
Beware.... If your unsure, Keep looking or pay £150 for a proper inspection.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I had a leak similar to this on a Xantia HDI
Just tightened up a union on the one injector's fuel line, using two spanners, no cost.0 -

Yeah i have thought the same myself, if it was mine i would have fixed it,
I have been looking for a while but due to my location its a little tricky, I live on the isle of Barra, and this car came up in Oban only last week,
For me Oban is just a 5 hour ferry ride away, I have spoke to the owner, and when i asked the question about " fixing it himself " he replied that his wife had recently had a baby and they needed the money, I guess ill be taking a risk when i jump on that ferry tonight a 8:45 pm ( and because were going via another island im looking at a 9.5 hour crossing)
Thanks for advice0
