I wouldn't entertain spending out on a respray for "dirty" paintwork, I think you may be being led up the garden path a bit by the sprayer....

The sprayer said there was rust on all panels which seems pretty impossible from the facts i previously mentioned--i sense oxidation might be the culprit as you say!mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0 -
Hi,Having some interest in the Sunbeam Alpine & Tiger, it seems that values are increasing for these rare cars. If you can get a fresh mot, it will certainly improve chances of any sale. Regretably,you will not get your 15k back but at least a sensible price would be obtainable. It seems a shame to break a complete car but that's up to you. Try & find out spares values through owners clubs. Good luck!0
