Bus Lane PCN

Doing this on behalf of my sis in law, she got snapped last week in Bath. She clearly says she didnt see the sign !

And a street view

Ive noticed on the ticket the photo shows the wording in the left hand lane ALL TRAFFIC but the street view doesnt.

Anyhow only thing I can see on the ticket is they have used "Will" numerous times in stead of "May" which the regs stipulate so not sure if that would invalidate the ticket ?

From Street View, i'm not sure it's correctly marked... there's no 'taper' at the start and the white line dosn't seem to extend back to where the 'lane' starts.
    PLEASE NOTE

Not only that but the narrow road pushes traffic onto the side the bus lane becomes, you follow a bus and your'e in it before you can stop. Due also in part to lack of advance warning. I suggest you also post this on pepipoo.com for a more legal view on this.

If the road and markings have not changed then, it is to be on 3 points:
The Contravention Did not occur for the following reasons:
The bay/ lane is incorrectly signed - No warning sign 30 meters prior to the lane to order drivers to switch lanes or second sign at start of solid lined area.
The bay/ lane is incorrectly marked and has no tapered start to the solid line:
The bus lane sign does not conform to road sign 961 or 958 "authorised vehicles is not a permitted variant of the sign unless specifically authorised by the DFT and laid out as such in the traffic management regulation order.

Therefore I request this notice be cancelled.

They will ignore and rubber stamp the appeals failed until the last level, so you will need to be in to the end

    Yep.

Always worth scrutinising all the errors and omissions in a Traffic Order. Pepipoo can host it in their repository if it's the whole Order, then you can attach the link here and to your pepipoo thread.

Even if the big blue sign was missed, there appears to be another red ringed "no motor vehicles" sign and the markings that say BUS LANE are clear enough. The lane is even asphalted in a different colour, so it begs the question, how many signs and clues does she need?

All that's missing from the bottom of the ticket is the advert: "Should have gone to Specsavers"

And that helps the poster how?
